The project is said to be adapted from the popular novel The Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage by Qian Shan Cha Ke (千山茶客).
One Weibo user wrote, “After several failed attempts at production, The Poisonous Queen of a Military Family is stirring up discussions again? The Poisonous Queen of a Military Family is based on the novel The Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage by Qian Shan Cha Ke. It tells the story of Shen Miao, the daughter of a powerful military family known for their strict discipline and loyalty.
