Kan Xin is originally from Xianning, Hubei. She graduated from the Tianjin Conservatory of Music and entered the entertainment industry after signing with Beijing Wannian Jinhe Cultural Agency. She also holds 8.4% of shares in Kevin Police Technology Research Institute, Beijing, with the company capital at 5 million yuan. Her acting career rose after director Cheng Qingsong recommended her for the film Liulang Wen Ying, earning her a Best Actress nomination at the Golden Rooster Awards.
According to paparazzi photos and YouTuber Li Muyang, Yu Menglong and Kan Xin were spotted dating in 2021. The pair appeared affectionate, with Kan Xin entering Yu Menglong’s embrace while he gently stroked her head. These sweet interactions led the public to believe they were romantically involved, although neither party has confirmed the relationship officially.
Netizens have also highlighted photos showing Kan Xin attending gatherings with Cheng Qingsong and several actors and actresses allegedly connected to the case, including Xin Qi, Tian Hairong, and Fang Li. On the day of the incident, Cheng Qingsong posted about plans to attend a show with Kan Xin and shared screenshots of their conversation, though the post was later deleted.
Other rumors trace back to comments by actress Song Yiren, who mentioned that a girlfriend was reportedly placed around Yu Menglong to monitor him and was later given money to go abroad. These indications have once again placed Kan Xin at the center of public speculation, even though none of these allegations have been officially verified.
To this day, only the parties directly involved know the full truth behind the tragedy. The public is urged to await official investigations to clarify the mystery surrounding Yu Menglong’s death.
