LayarHijau – Top Chinese actress Yang Mi, who left her own agency Jiaxing Media in 2023, is reportedly trying to “save” young actor Guo Junchen from a fate similar to the late Yu Menglong. The news surfaced alongside a leaked list of artists under Yang Mi’s new company, Tianyi Entertainment.
Since the departure of Chinese actor Yu Menglong last month, surrounded by controversy and what many considered rushed case handling, the public has been paying attention again. Yang Mi, who previously worked with Yu Menglong on the popular drama Eternal Love (三生三世十里桃花), had expressed interest in recruiting him to her agency but did not succeed.

Now, many believe that actor Guo Junchen could become “the next Yu Menglong.” Rumors gained more traction after reports emerged that Guo Junchen is on the list of artists under Yang Mi’s new management, Tianyi Entertainment.
Yang Mi’s New Agency and Leaked Artist List
Yang Mi is said to have established an independent studio and a new company, Tianyi Entertainment, together with her mother. The company focuses on artist management and film/TV investments.
The rumored artist lineup for Tianyi Entertainment includes: Lin Gengxin, Wang Youshuo, Zheng Hewei Zi, Guo Xiaodong. As well as business division contracts with Tian Jiarui and Guo Junchen.
Although Guo Junchen’s status is currently only a business contract, netizens hope Yang Mi will sign him fully in the future. They trust Yang Mi’s ability, noting that when she founded Jiaxing Media, she successfully grew all her artists relying solely on her influence and management skills.
Yang Mi’s Commitment to Her Artists
Yang Mi is known for maintaining a healthy working environment. When she founded Jiaxing Media, she stated that her artists were not required to attend drinking parties, participate in “touch greetings,” or follow “unwritten rules” (潛規則).
Her previous attempts to recruit Yu Menglong, combined with the news of Guo Junchen joining Tianyi Entertainment, are seen as efforts to protect talented actors from the pressures of the entertainment industry.
(This news is based on rumors and circulating reports online, and the official status of the artists’ contracts with Tianyi Entertainment is yet to be confirmed.)
