LayarHijau – The growing popularity of Chinese dramas in Indonesia has transformed them from simple entertainment into a shared cultural experience. Across major cities, enthusiastic fans have formed vibrant communities—actively discussing storylines, creating fan content, and organizing offline gatherings such as watch parties and fan meetups. These activities show how Asian drama stories have become social bridges that connect people through shared emotions and interests.
Recognizing this passion, WeTV Indonesia launched the “Chinese Drama Community Watch Party” program in several major cities, including Jakarta and Surabaya. The event provides a space for fans to watch their favorite shows together while strengthening the connection between WeTV and the fan communities that continue to grow around it.

Through this initiative, WeTV aims to offer a more personal and engaging viewing experience. In a warm and inclusive setting, viewers can share opinions, meet fellow fans, and celebrate the sense of togetherness that defines Indonesia’s Asian drama community.
WeTV Indonesia Country Head, Febriamy Hutapea, explained that the watch party series is a gesture of appreciation for the loyalty and enthusiasm of Chinese drama fans across the country.
“We see that Chinese drama fans are not just viewers; they are an essential part of a dynamic entertainment ecosystem,” said Febri in a press release received by LayarHijau on Tuesday, October 14.
She added that the passion of these fan communities shows how the power of modern entertainment lies not only in the content itself but also in the emotional connections it inspires. Through initiatives like this, WeTV reaffirms its commitment to grow alongside its viewers, offering experiences that reflect Indonesian culture, lifestyle, and shared emotion.
Beyond Chinese dramas such as Love’s Ambition, which is currently trending, WeTV continues to expand its library with popular series from Korea, Thailand, and Indonesia. With its community-driven approach and focus on authentic viewing experiences, WeTV strengthens its position as a home for Asian stories loved by audiences across Indonesia.
Love’s Ambition airs daily at 5 p.m. (WIB), and viewers can purchase the express package to watch all episodes in advance, exclusively on WeTV.
