Sanlitun is one of the trendiest areas in Beijing, famous for its Taikoo Li shopping complex, a wide range of international-style bars, and a cosmopolitan atmosphere that regularly attracts celebrities and young people alike. It’s a popular hangout spot for stars and a favorite destination for fans hoping to snap photos.

Interestingly, even though the three stars were caught on camera together, most Weibo users did not jump to romantic conclusions. This is particularly notable because, typically, when two celebrities are seen together in public, rumors of a romantic relationship often follow. However, in the case of Wang Churan, Yan An, and Li Yizhen, netizens focused more on the strength of their friendship. Many praised how the three have maintained a genuine bond despite working in a competitive entertainment industry, showing that their relationship is purely one of close friends supporting each other, both professionally and personally. Their relaxed outing in Sanlitun further highlighted that their connection extends well beyond work projects.

A Behind-the-Scenes Friendship
Wang Churan and Yan An became close after working together on the drama Hidden Shadow (烽影燃梅香), where Wang Churan played An Jiu and Yan An portrayed Hua Rongjian. Their time on set marked the beginning of their friendship.
In the original novel and the drama, the main characters are An Jiu and Chu Ding Jiang, played by Li Hongyi. In the novel version, Hua Rongjian and Chu Ding Jiang are related by blood but not particularly close. Both characters fall in love with An Jiu, but she ultimately chooses Chu Ding Jiang. This love triangle forms one of the central conflicts in the story, even causing Hua Rongjian to clash with the main couple at times.
Meanwhile, Yan An and Li Yizhen became friends after appearing together on the variety show Let’s Hit It Off (一拍即合的我们), a program that brings young actors and idols together for various challenges, allowing them to build closer bonds.
Through Yan An, Wang Churan and Li Yizhen were introduced. Their interactions extended beyond backstage friendships — Wang Churan once publicly promoted Li Yizhen’s role as Princess Duan Yang in the drama Love Game in Eastern Fantasy (永夜星河), showing her support for Li Yizhen’s career. In return, Li Yizhen once visited Wang Churan on the set of Hidden Shadow, a visit she later shared in one of her personal vlogs.
Their appearance together in Sanlitun is a testament to a friendship that thrives not only on professional collaboration but also on personal connection. This casual outing served as proof that their bond continues to grow outside of work, strengthening their friendship even further.
