LayarHijau – Korean drama Mousetrap has climbed to No. 1 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart for the August 31–September 6, 2026 viewing period. The drama recorded 4.4 million views worldwide, overtaking The Early Spring, which remains in second place.
Mousetrap accumulated 41.5 million hours viewed during the week and made the Top 10 in 45 countries. The result marks a significant rise for the drama just two weeks after its global release on Netflix.

Meanwhile, The Early Spring continues to perform strongly at No. 2, recording 3.2 million views and 45.7 million hours viewed. Although Mousetrap had more views, The Early Spring generated more total viewing hours during the same period.
Mousetrap premiered globally on Netflix on August 28. It debuted at No. 5 on the Global Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart in its first week before surging to No. 1 in its second week.
The drama is inspired by a Korean folk tale about a rat that eats a person’s nail clippings. The story follows novelist Moon Jae, whose name, face, and life are stolen by a mysterious entity known as Deuljwi. He then sets out to uncover the entity’s identity and reclaim the life that was taken from him.
Ryu Jun-yeol takes on two roles in the drama, playing both novelist Moon Jae and Deuljwi, the mysterious figure who steals Moon Jae’s identity and life. His dual performance is one of the drama’s key attractions.
Seol Kyung-gu stars as No-ja, a loan shark, while Lee Kyu-hyung plays Soon-yong, a police officer.
With its jump from No. 5 to No. 1 in just two weeks, Mousetrap has quickly emerged as a strong performer among Netflix’s international audience. At the same time, The Early Spring remains at No. 2, with its 45.7 million hours viewed surpassing Mousetrap’s 41.5 million.
