LayarHijau – Chinese actor Chang Huasen (常华森) appears to have been targeted by an intrusive tracking incident after his team discovered a GPS-enabled tracking device attached to the vehicle he uses while filming.
Waston Studio, Chang Huasen’s management team, revealed that staff members found the device in the early hours of September 7. Concerned about the actor’s privacy and safety, they immediately removed it after discovering it.

“In the early hours of September 7, our staff found a tracking device with GPS capabilities on the vehicle exclusively used by the artist’s production team,” Waston Studio said in an official statement released on September 9. “Out of concern for the artist’s privacy and safety, we immediately removed the device after discovering it.”
The studio said the incident constitutes a serious violation of Chang Huasen’s personal privacy and reported it to local police on the evening of September 8.
Chang Huasen’s team also cooperated with officers handling the case, including assisting with evidence collection and providing statements.
“We reported the incident to the local public security authorities on the evening of September 8,” the studio said. “The artist’s team cooperated with the officers handling the case by providing evidence and completing their statements, after which we received a receipt confirming the report.”
According to the studio, the case has now been formally accepted by police as an administrative case, with the individuals involved to be investigated and handled by the officers assigned to it.
“The relevant case has been accepted as an administrative case by the public security authorities, and the individuals involved will be followed up by the officers handling the matter,” the statement said.
The studio added that it would continue cooperating with the authorities if further developments arise or additional assistance is required.
Studio Takes Zero-Tolerance Stance on Stalking
Waston Studio also used the statement to condemn various forms of extreme fan behavior, commonly referred to in China as “sisheng” (私生), which involves fans intruding into celebrities’ private lives.
The studio specifically called out following vehicles, surrounding celebrities at hotels, installing tracking devices, and secretly photographing or recording them in an attempt to pry into their private lives.
“Any acts such as following vehicles, surrounding artists at hotels, installing tracking devices, or secretly photographing and prying into their private lives seriously violate personal privacy, endanger public safety, and cross the legal line,” the studio said.
“We have zero tolerance for such behavior and will take firm action to stop all forms of ‘sisheng’ activity.”
The statement makes clear that the studio does not view the GPS tracker as harmless fan behavior, but as an invasion of privacy serious enough to warrant legal action.
Studio Warns Against Selling Artists’ Schedules
The studio also addressed people who track Chang Huasen’s movements or attempt to profit from information about his whereabouts.
It said it does not support following artists by car or plane, tailing them, or surrounding them, particularly when such behavior disrupts public order or interferes with a production’s normal operations.
“We do not support any behavior that disrupts public order or the normal working environment of a production, including following by car, following flights, tracking or tailing artists, and surrounding them,” Waston Studio said.
The studio also warned against illegally obtaining and selling information about an artist’s schedule, as well as organizing paid photography operations based on such information.
“We will continue collecting evidence, actively protect our rights through legal channels, and firmly oppose the illegal acquisition and resale of artists’ schedules, as well as organized photography activities carried out for profit,” the statement said.
Fans Urged Not to Share Sisheng Content
At the same time, Waston Studio emphasized that Chang Huasen continues to appreciate the fans who support him.
“Mr. Chang Huasen has always treasured every fan and audience member who likes him, and he is deeply grateful for every bit of support and affection,” the studio said.
The studio stressed that it understands “sisheng” behavior comes from a small number of extreme individuals and expressed its appreciation to fans who respect Chang Huasen’s privacy and personal boundaries.
“We understand that ‘sisheng’ behavior is the action of a small number of extreme individuals,” the statement said. “We are extremely grateful to the fans who respect the artist’s privacy and boundaries.”
According to the studio, such behavior not only affects Chang Huasen but also interferes with normal interactions between the actor and his fans.
“The illegal and boundary-crossing behavior of ‘sisheng’ seriously affects and obstructs normal communication between fans and Mr. Chang Huasen,” the studio said.
The team therefore called on fans to support Chang Huasen responsibly, respect personal boundaries, and help create a healthier fandom environment.
It also urged fans not to like, engage with, or share content posted by “sisheng” individuals.
“If you encounter inappropriate ‘sisheng’ behavior, you can immediately provide relevant information or leads to our team,” the studio said.
The case is now being handled by the authorities, while Waston Studio said it will continue collecting evidence and cooperating with the police as necessary.
