According to Netflix Tudum’s data for August 24-30, 2026, The Early Spring recorded 2.4 million views and accumulated 21.5 million hours of viewing time during its first week of release.
The drama ranked No. 1 in four countries during the week and made the Top 10 in 22 countries.
The achievement has been touted as a first for a Chinese drama, with The Early Spring becoming the first Chinese series reported to enter Netflix’s Global Top 3 for non-English TV series.
Its No. 2 debut is also notable because the ranking came during the drama’s first week on the streaming platform.
The Early Spring is also performing strongly according to FlixPatrol. The drama entered FlixPatrol’s Global Top 10 TV Shows on Netflix at No. 7.
Based on FlixPatrol data covering August 27 through September 2, The Early Spring ranked No. 1 on average in several markets, including Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Hong Kong, Brazil, Taiwan, and Thailand.
The difference between the Netflix Tudum and FlixPatrol rankings is due to their different tracking methods and measurement periods. Netflix Tudum’s weekly rankings are based on Netflix’s viewing data, while FlixPatrol tracks Netflix rankings across individual countries and regions on a daily basis.
