LayarHijau – Yang Yang is turning heads with his latest promotional campaign for A Chinese Ghost Story (《倩女幽魂》), which is celebrating its 10th anniversary. The Chinese actor takes on two dramatically different fantasy personas in the promotional video, first appearing as an ethereal white-haired guardian before transforming into a darker, more mysterious winged character.
Yang Yang first appears with long silver-white hair, dressed in elaborate white armor and sporting six large white wings behind him.

The look gives him an almost angelic, otherworldly presence. His flowing white hair, gleaming armor and enormous wings make him look as though he has stepped straight out of a fantasy game.
The promotional video quickly attracted attention after its release, with fans praising Yang Yang’s striking visuals and his ability to pull off such an elaborate fantasy character. His features and proportions also drew comparisons to the polished character designs commonly seen in fantasy games.
But the campaign does not stop with the celestial white-haired look.
In another part of the video, Yang Yang transforms into a much darker character. He appears in an elaborate outfit featuring golden dragon motifs, paired with a set of dark red wings.
The transformation completely changes his presence. Instead of the gentle and almost divine aura of his first appearance, Yang Yang looks colder, more dangerous and far more intimidating in the second look.
The contrast between the two personas is one of the highlights of A Chinese Ghost Story’s 10th anniversary campaign. Yang Yang effectively showcases two opposite sides of the fantasy world — a celestial guardian surrounded by white wings and a darker figure with an imposing pair of red wings.
The campaign also highlights how well Yang Yang fits into elaborate game-inspired concepts. The intricate costumes, oversized wings and fantasy visual effects make him look like a game character brought to life.
Yang Yang’s appearance in the 10th anniversary campaign is also notable because of his previous connection to A Chinese Ghost Story. He now returns to the game’s promotional campaign with an even more elaborate fantasy concept, giving fans a completely different look at the actor.
Meanwhile, Yang Yang continues to attract attention for his drama projects. He recently starred alongside Zhang Ruonan in Zhan Zhao Adventures (《雨霖铃》) and has since moved on to the wuxia drama Bu Rang Jiang Shan (《不让江山》), which officially wrapped filming in June 2026.
For now, however, Yang Yang’s transformation in A Chinese Ghost Story’s 10th anniversary campaign remains one of his latest talking points. His shift from a silver-haired guardian to a dark, red-winged character has given fans plenty to admire in the new promotional video.
