LayarHijau – The spin-off concert of Chinese drama Pursuit of Jade (逐玉) titled Pursuit of Jade: One Thought (逐玉一念) has sparked criticism from fans after Zhang Linghe and Tian Xiwei were confirmed to be absent from the event. The absence of the two lead actors has made some fans question the concept of a concert that carries the drama’s name.
The organizer announced Pursuit of Jade: One Thought on July 15 at around 10 a.m. China time. The concert is scheduled to take place on August 15, 2026, at Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center.

The seven actors confirmed to attend the event are Ren Hao, Snow Kong (Kong Xue’er), Deng Kai, Li Qing, Yu Zhongli, Lin Muran, and Xiang Xia. Ticket prices are divided into four categories: 480 yuan, 880 yuan, 1,280 yuan, and 1,680 yuan.
However, fans’ attention quickly turned to the absence of Zhang Linghe and Tian Xiwei, who served as the main leads of Pursuit of Jade. Several sources in China reported that the two actors will not attend or perform at the concert.
After the announcement spread, many fans expressed their disappointment on social media. Some questioned why an official concert using the Pursuit of Jade name would not feature the two main actors who are central to the story.
Fans criticized that the official Pursuit of Jade after-sales concert was “not true to its name” because it did not include the male and female leads. They also highlighted that the ticket prices were already comparable to those of large-scale concerts by top artists.
Some fans questioned whether the production team was only taking advantage of the drama’s popularity to gain profits from fandom support. They accused the organizers of “consuming fans’ emotional attachment to the Pursuit of Jade IP” after the drama gained significant attention.
The controversy grew further after Snow Kong’s official fan club released a statement regarding the event. In the statement, the fan club emphasized its principle of “not organizing, not recommending, not encouraging, and not supporting” fans purchasing tickets or carrying out support activities related to the concert.
The stance from Snow Kong’s fan club further intensified discussions surrounding the event. Some fans believed the statement reflected concerns over the public response toward the concert.
Meanwhile, according to data from the ticketing platform Damai, around 10 hours after the concert announcement was released, the number of users marking that they wanted to watch the event had still not reached 4,000 people.
The figure became another point of discussion among fans, as it showed that initial public interest remained relatively low for a concert carrying the name of a popular drama like Pursuit of Jade.
