LayarHijau – The upcoming concert for Chinese drama Pursuit of Jade (逐玉) has officially been announced, quickly becoming a hot topic on Chinese social media. Titled “Pursuit of Jade: One Thought Concert” (逐玉一念演唱会), the event is scheduled to take place on August 15, 2026, at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center in Shenzhen.
The organizers have confirmed the first batch of performers, including Ren Hao, Kong Xue’er, Deng Kai, Li Qing, Yu Zhongli, Lin Muran, and Xiang Xia. They also teased that a mystery guest will join the concert.
Tickets are available in four price tiers: 480 yuan (about US$67), 880 yuan (about US$123), 1,280 yuan (about US$179), and 1,680 yuan (about US$234).
However, the announcement quickly sparked discussion after the drama’s two leading stars, Zhang Linghe and Tian Xiwei, were absent from the announced lineup.
In addition to the absence of Zhang Linghe and Tian Xiwei, the current lineup does not include the singers behind the drama’s theme song or original soundtrack (OST). The omission has left many fans questioning what the concert will actually offer.
On social media, many fans expressed disappointment that the event would be held without the lead actors or the singers most closely associated with the drama’s soundtrack. Others argued that the ticket prices were too expensive given the currently announced lineup.
Some internet users were also surprised by the concept itself, asking whether a television drama could really have its own concert, highlighting how the format remains unfamiliar to many viewers.
As of now, the organizers have not announced whether more performers—including Zhang Linghe, Tian Xiwei, or the OST singers—will be added before the concert takes place.
