Many viewers praised Hou Minghao’s stable live vocals and strong dance performance despite the physically demanding choreography. His sincere and thoughtful attitude toward fans also drew positive attention. Large numbers of fans from outside Nanjing reportedly traveled to the city specifically to attend the concert.
Hou Minghao originally debuted in 2016 as a singing and dancing idol, making music the starting point of his entertainment career. Before focusing on acting, he underwent professional vocal and dance training. Even after successfully transitioning into acting and starring in several popular dramas, he continued releasing music and performing at music festivals while balancing both careers.
Because of that background, many viewed this concert tour not as an actor casually crossing over into music, but as Hou Minghao returning to his original identity as a singer. His years of acting experience also appeared to enhance the emotional expression of his stage performances.
At the Nanjing concert, Hou Minghao performed his new song “怎么能” (How Can) live for the first time. Meanwhile, his popular track “启明星” (Morning Star) sparked a massive singalong among the audience.
Beyond the performances, Hou Minghao also prepared special gifts to celebrate his 10th anniversary with fans. Attendees received light sticks, custom pillows, and commemorative merchandise. In return, fans organized flower walls, character standees from his dramas, and various themed support projects reflecting on his decade-long career journey.
The concert also reportedly boosted Nanjing’s local tourism and consumer economy. Tickets sold out quickly, while more than 800,000 users marked themselves as interested in attending online. More than 420,000 fans additionally left comments requesting extra concert dates.
Many fans from cities including Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Guangzhou traveled to Nanjing for the event. Besides attending the concert, they also visited local landmarks and tried Nanjing’s specialty foods, further contributing to the city’s tourism and entertainment-related spending.
According to reports, Hou Minghao’s “属于我们的…” (Belonging to Us…) tour will next head to Chengdu, Shenzhen, and Beijing as he continues connecting with fans across different cities through music.
