LayarHijau – Chinese actor Zhang Linghe has come under intense public attention after a health scare during filming sparked widespread concern. He is currently working on the historical political drama The Road to Glory (归鸾), a production known for its physically demanding action scenes.
Concern first arose when Zhang Linghe was seen limping on his way to work. Soon after, reports began circulating that he experienced low blood sugar while filming an action scene and was even unable to stand at one point. Footage from April 27 showed him needing assistance from several staff members just to get out of his car, further fueling worries about his condition.
On-set accounts revealed that the actor has been dealing with a packed filming schedule, including late-night shoots that have left him physically drained. In one instance, he was seen struggling to stand after completing a floor scene, reportedly attempting twice but failing due to exhaustion. His co-star Lin Yun, along with crew members, quickly stepped in to help him up.
As the situation gained traction online, Zhang Linghe’s studio released an official statement to clarify the incident. They explained that he experienced mild hypoglycemia during an action scene due to intense emotional exertion, high energy consumption, and insufficient sugar intake. After resting, he was said to have recovered without any noticeable discomfort.
The statement also emphasized that there were no serious injuries to his leg. Medical examinations confirmed that the issue was limited to muscle strain or spasms caused by fatigue, with no damage to bones or ligaments.
However, the statement itself became a point of controversy. Fans criticized the studio after it was revealed that the initial release contained incorrect information regarding the timeline of the incident. Although the post was later deleted and reissued with corrections, the mistake led to backlash, with many accusing the team of being careless in handling the situation.
As fan concerns intensified, Zhang Linghe personally stepped in to address the situation. He sent seven consecutive voice messages, explaining his condition in detail and reassuring fans that he was doing well.
On April 28, he was seen heading to work again. While his walking still drew attention, he appeared to be making an effort to move as naturally as possible. His swift response and direct communication with fans earned praise, highlighting his considerate and responsible attitude amid growing concern.
