LayarHijau—The romantic historical drama Pursuit of Jade (逐玉), which recently concluded its broadcast, continues to be the center of attention, especially regarding the real-life relationships of its cast members. While the story originally followed the political dynamics and romance involving powerful characters, the spotlight has now shifted to the private life of one of its supporting actors who was caught on camera by paparazzi. This news briefly caused a stir on social media as it involved speculation regarding the end of a real-life romance between a fan-favorite on-screen couple.

On April 22, a paparazzi released information stating that a popular couple from Pursuit of Jade had reached a “Bad Ending” in real life. This was allegedly because the male actor was secretly in a romantic relationship with another woman. Initially, netizens speculated wildly, suspecting that the actor in question was either Zhang Linghe or Deng Kai, given their soaring popularity thanks to the drama. This rumor briefly topped the trending searches on Weibo before the true identity was finally revealed.
As it turns out, the figure in question is Li Qing, the actor who portrayed the character Gongsun Yin in Pursuit of Jade. This news naturally brought immense relief to fans of the “Tian Zuo Zhi He” ship, who support the relationship between Zhang Linghe and Tian Xiwei. Although Li Qing shared strong chemistry with Yu Zhongli, who played the Princess, and the two remained active in their interactions after filming—even serving as co-hosts for the drama’s celebration party—these new findings clarify that their off-screen relationship is strictly professional.
The paparazzi shared evidence in the form of video footage showing Li Qing gathering with friends. Throughout the meeting, Li Qing appeared busy sending text messages before eventually heading to a residential area. Upon arrival, a woman came down from a building accompanied by a pet dog. Li Qing greeted her warmly and seemed very familiar with her, even naturally assisting the woman in walking the dog. The dog itself appeared very calm and close to Li Qing, suggesting that the actor frequently spends time with them.
“#PursuitofJade” actor #LiQing caught on a date! He was seen helping his girlfriend walk her dog late into the night. Netizens reacted calmly, calling this a “no casualty” dating news since no hearts were broken. 🐶❤️

Around one in the morning, the pair was seen entering the building and did not emerge until sunrise. The following day, Li Qing was caught on camera leaving the location wearing the same clothes he wore when heading to his agency’s office. Netizen reactions to this revelation have been relatively calm, with many noting that the incident “resulted in no casualties,” meaning no fans felt betrayed since Li Qing is not a lead actor with a fanatic fanbase that forbids dating.
However, for the fanbases of Zhang Linghe and Tian Xiwei, this news serves as a breath of fresh air, confirming that their idols were not involved in the rumored dating scandal. With the revelation of Li Qing’s real-life relationship status, the debate regarding the crumbling relationship of the drama’s main couple has finally been fully put to rest.
