LayarHijau – Popular actress Zhao Lusi has finally provided an official clarification regarding her future career in the acting industry after a long absence. Through an official Weibo post on April 14, 2026, Zhao Lusi’s team via the Lulu’s Mailbox Weibo account announced that they have taken over the management of fan operations and the official mailbox to ensure that all outgoing information is more centralized and accurate. This statement emerged amidst numerous speculations concerning the latest drama projects she is rumored to join in the near future.
Zhao Lusi’s team via the Lulu’s Mailbox Weibo account firmly denied various rumors circulating about the drama titles she is expected to work on this year. In their statement, the management revealed, “There are plans to join a new production this year, but these projects are not the ones currently being discussed online. We ask everyone to wait patiently for official announcements, as all information must be based on the official news from the studio.” This marks her readiness to return after being away from filming sets for one year and three months.

Previously, rumors were rife that Zhao Lusi would star in a large-scale xianxia drama titled Morning Flowers Do Not See Sorrow. The drama was reportedly to be directed by Yi Zheng, the figure behind the success of Love Between Fairy and Devil. However, with the latest statement, speculations regarding Zhao Lusi’s involvement in the renowned director’s project have now been debunked and officially declared incorrect by her management team.
The casting rumors for Morning Flowers Do Not See Sorrow itself had been constantly changing, causing confusion among netizens. Initially, the names Dylan Wang and Snow Kong were linked to the project, before the rumor shifted to the pairing of Zhao Lusi and Tan Jianci. Most recently, Joseph Zeng emerged as a strong candidate for the male lead, which triggered heated debates among fans regarding the role’s suitability alongside the lead actress.
Joseph Zeng’s fans expressed concern because the actor has recently starred in projects with perceived underwhelming performances, such as Romance on the Farm, Snowy Night Timeless Love, Feud, and Veil of Shadows. If Joseph Zeng were to take a second-billed male lead role under Zhao Lusi in a project like Morning Flowers Do Not See Sorrow, it was feared that it would not positively impact his career following the massive success of Mysterious Lotus Casebook that he achieved previously.
Zhao Lusi is currently rumored to be under new management after previously facing a contract dispute with her former agency, Galaxy Cool Media. Apart from the aforementioned dramas, the actress was also rumored to star in several other projects, most notably the drama Inverted Fate which was rumored to pair her with Song Weilong. However, with the official announcement from Lulu’s Mailbox, it is clear that Zhao Lusi will not be starring in the series of dramas mentioned in those recent rumors.
Fans who long for her appearance on screen after the success of Love Like the Galaxy, Hidden Love, and Love’s Ambition must wait a bit longer. While she is currently busy preparing for a concert tour, an official announcement regarding the actual drama title that will mark her return is expected to follow soon through the established official communication channels set by her team.
