LayarHijau – The official fan club of Chinese actress Song Zu’er has taken a firm step amid a wave of online rumors. On April 14, the fan club turned its profile picture black and announced a temporary suspension of all activities in response to the growing speculation circulating on social media.

This move came after the fan club had already issued a clarification a day earlier, addressing claims about a suspected anonymous social media account allegedly linked to Song Zu’er. They firmly stated that the trending rumors were completely false and fabricated.

The controversy began on the night of April 12, when a netizen claimed to have discovered an account believed to be connected to the actress. The account was said to show similarities in device usage history and location data that appeared to match Song Zu’er’s past travel schedule, quickly fueling widespread speculation online.

The situation escalated further when the account was found to have followed fan forums of Song Zu’er and Liu Yuning since the filming period of the highly anticipated drama The Prisoner of Beauty. Its activity, including frequently liking content related to the two stars, intensified rumors of a possible romantic relationship.

However, fans were quick to investigate and identified several inconsistencies. The account had posted about college life in 2016, while Song Zu’er only began university in 2018. Additionally, differences in personal preferences—such as a stated love for durian, which contradicts what fans know about the actress—further weakened the claims.

Amid the growing buzz, Song Zu’er’s studio also released a statement on April 13, denying the dating rumors involving Liu Yuning. The management emphasized that the circulating claims were untrue, clarifying that the two are simply friends and professional partners, and urged the public not to overinterpret the situation.

Despite these clarifications, the fan club’s decision to suspend activities sparked further discussion among netizens. According to several online users, the move was driven by the fan club’s dissatisfaction with how slowly the management responded to the rumors that first emerged on April 12.

The development highlights the ongoing tension that can arise between fan communities and artist management in the fast-moving landscape of social media. With activities now on hold, public attention is shifting toward how both the fan club and management will handle the situation moving forward.
