Recently, the pair was invited to appear on the popular variety show Hello, Saturday to greet their growing fanbase. In Pursuit of Jade, Deng Kai portrays the villainous Prince Qi Min who is deeply obsessed with Yu Qianqian, played by Snow Kong. Yu Qianqian is an innkeeper who is actually an escaped concubine from Qi Min’s palace. The prince uses every means necessary to reclaim her, creating a profound romantic tension. “Even though Qi Min’s way of loving is considered distorted by some viewers, the acting intensity of Deng Kai and Snow Kong keeps fans rooting for them,” noted industry observers regarding their popularity that transcends the drama’s actual plot.
During their Hello, Saturday appearance, the two did not hesitate to showcase their close bond. When introducing each other, Snow Kong sweetly stated, “This is my partner, Deng Kai.” Responding in kind, Deng Kai immediately rested his head on Snow Kong’s palm while explaining their couple name, an action that instantly triggered cheers from the studio audience. This sweet interaction continued during their opening dance, which featured a staged kiss. Deng Kai initially appeared shocked and shy upon seeing the dance demonstration, but he ultimately executed it perfectly with Snow Kong, ending with the actress playfully running away in embarrassment.
The atmosphere heated up further during a confession segment. Snow Kong openly declared, “Kai-ge, you are my eternal reliance!” Not to be outdone, Deng Kai showed his romantic side during a sit-up challenge. With every repetition, he whispered sweet words: “Snow Kong, you are the summer breeze, the warm spring sun, the autumn maple leaf, and the winter snow.” He then pushed further by saying, “If she is his universe, then you are my whole world!” These lines successfully made Snow Kong blush as she hid her face from the cameras in laughter.
Beyond romantic words, Deng Kai also demonstrated his physical strength by performing a princess carry on Snow Kong while completing seven squats without showing any signs of fatigue. Afterward, he even hoisted Snow Kong onto his back, allowing her to strike an elegant pose. Fans praised Deng Kai’s masculine strength and protective nature. With their continuous high-sweet interactions throughout the show, netizens commented that fans of the couple were truly well-fed with authentic sweet moments outside the world of Pursuit of Jade.
