The report, filed under a real-name system and dated March 30, 2026, claims that Ju Jingyi declared an income of around 11 million yuan, while her actual earnings were estimated to exceed 50 million yuan. This suggests that more than 85 percent of her income may not have been reported. For 2024, the report further alleges that she declared 11.0018 million yuan in total income, while earnings from film and commercial activities between June and December alone were estimated to surpass 50 million yuan, indicating a potential underreporting ratio of nearly 88 percent. The report is said to include income statements and a detailed list of undeclared projects as supporting evidence.
In response to the allegations, Ju Jingyi’s side issued an official statement on March 31. They emphasized that the artist has always complied with national laws and regulations, fulfilling her tax obligations accordingly. The statement also noted that she has actively cooperated with relevant inspection procedures. In addition, Ju Jingyi has reportedly appointed legal counsel to file a lawsuit against Siba Media over alleged infringement and reputational damage.
Meanwhile, Siba Media released a separate clarification denying any involvement in filing the tax evasion report. The company stressed that it was not the reporting party and described claims linking it to the report as an attempt to mislead public opinion. It also stated that it has been a victim of repeated online attacks and misinformation since the dispute with Ju Jingyi began.
On the regulatory side, the State Taxation Administration of China, through its Shanghai Inspection Bureau, confirmed that it received the report on March 30, 2026. An official receipt (No. 2026-013) indicates that the report was accepted and initial review procedures were initiated, with assurances that the whistleblower’s identity would be kept confidential.
However, authorities also revealed that similar reports had been submitted multiple times since September 2025. After prior investigations, no tax violations were found. Under existing regulations, the latest report is considered a repeated submission of a previously concluded case without new valid evidence, and therefore will not be formally accepted for further investigation.
Earlier, on March 26, 2026, Siba Media had already issued a statement denying rumors of any settlement with Ju Jingyi. The company reiterated that the contract dispute between both parties remains under judicial review and that no agreement has been reached.
