LayarHijau – New updates have arrived for the action anime Baki-Dou: The Invincible Samurai. During its official stage event at AnimeJapan, the production team unveiled a brand-new teaser trailer and visual, while also confirming that the series will continue with Part 2.

However, a release date for Baki-Dou: The Invincible Samurai Part 2 has not been announced yet. What’s confirmed is that the continuation will stream globally on Netflix.

Interestingly, even though it’s now labeled as Part 2, the earlier installment was never officially marketed as “Part 1” when it first aired. This kind of release strategy is quite common, especially for series distributed on platforms like Netflix, where a single season is often split into multiple parts. In other words, Part 2 is not a brand-new season, but a direct continuation of the same storyline.

The anime is adapted from the legendary manga by Keisuke Itagaki, best known for Grappler Baki and its long-running sequels since 1991. The English versions of the manga are currently published by Kodama Tales and Media Do International.

For the anime adaptation, Toshiki Hirano serves as director at TMS Entertainment, with series composition by Tatsuhiko Urahata, character designs by Shingo Ishikawa, and music composed by Kenji Fujisawa (Team-MAX).

As for the story, Baki-Dou: The Invincible Samurai delivers an intense and extreme premise. Beneath the Tokyo Skytree lies a secret laboratory owned by Mitsunari Tokugawa, the world’s ultimate combat enthusiast. It is here that a forbidden experiment takes place.

Using cutting-edge technology, scientists attempt to clone and resurrect the legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi from his remains, bringing him back into the modern world.

Known as the ultimate warrior and a symbol of absolute strength, Musashi’s return sends shockwaves across modern Japan and beyond, plunging the world into crisis. Fighters from all corners, including Baki Hanma and Yujiro Hanma, along with the fiercest warriors of the underground arena, are drawn into this time-defying battle.

Now, the ultimate clash to determine the strongest in history begins.
