LayarHijau – The martial arts anime Baki-Dou: The Invincible Samurai has quickly become one of the most talked-about titles on Netflix after its release on February 26, 2026. Within days of its debut, the series climbed to the second spot on the platform’s Global Top 10 list for non-English shows.

Data published by Netflix Tudum shows that the anime recorded around 3.4 million views during the tracking period from February 22 to March 1. Considering that the series only premiered on February 26, reaching that number in roughly four days highlights the strong interest surrounding the franchise.

The gap between the second-place anime and the top show on the list is also relatively small, suggesting that the series could continue climbing in the rankings if the momentum remains strong.

Baki-Dou: The Invincible Samurai continues the story from the anime Baki Hanma and is based on the manga created by Keisuke Itagaki. The Baki-Dou manga itself was published in two parts between 2014 and 2023. Although the manga storyline has already concluded, the anime’s first season only adapts the early portion of the narrative.

The story follows Baki Hanma after he earns the title of the “World’s Strongest Boy.” With his long-standing conflict against his father finally resolved, Baki finds himself facing an unexpected problem: boredom. None of the fighters he encounters seem capable of pushing him to his limits.

He continues defending his reputation in the underground arena at Kourakuen, but the challengers he faces fail to provide a satisfying battle. For someone who thrives on intense combat, victory without a true challenge feels empty.

Everything changes when shocking news spreads across Japan: scientists have successfully cloned the legendary samurai Musashi Miyamoto. The revival of the historical warrior throws the country into turmoil and introduces a dangerous new force into the modern world.

In this version of the story, Musashi roams Tokyo seeking out renowned fighters to test his abilities in an unfamiliar era. Armed with extraordinary swordsmanship and combat instincts, he quickly proves that his reputation as one of history’s greatest warriors is well deserved.

As Musashi cuts through powerful opponents—including several fighters connected to Baki—the inevitable clash between the two becomes unavoidable.

For Baki, the appearance of such a formidable opponent sparks genuine excitement. After a long stretch without a worthy rival, he finally meets someone who may truly challenge him. However, the confrontation with the resurrected samurai may turn out to be far more dangerous than he initially expected.

The first season of Baki-Dou: The Invincible Samurai consists of 13 episodes, all of which are currently available to stream on Netflix. Although a second season has not yet been officially confirmed, the strong viewership numbers suggest that the story is far from over.
