Pursuit of Jade has now become a major turning point. Starring Zhang Linghe and Tian Xiwei, the drama features Snow Kong as Yu Qianqian, a bold and outspoken inn owner.
Her character quickly stands out from the beginning. Her dynamic with the female lead Fan Changyu, played by Tian Xiwei, develops into a warm friendship. However, the story takes a dramatic turn when Yu Qianqian’s true identity is revealed.
She is actually a runaway concubine of Qi Min, a dark and complex prince portrayed by Deng Kai. After being captured and brought back, their relationship evolves into an intense emotional push-and-pull. Their conflicted interactions and strong on-screen chemistry have become one of the drama’s highlights.
The popularity of the pair has extended beyond the show. Snow Kong and Deng Kai have appeared together in livestreams, interviews, magazine shoots, and even on the variety show Hello Saturday. Such exposure for a secondary couple is considered rare.
Related topics on Douyin have reportedly surpassed 770 million views, while on Weibo, their pairing has topped the super topic rankings, even outperforming the main couple.
The most visible impact is seen in Snow Kong’s growing fanbase. She reportedly gained around 800,000 new followers in a short period thanks to Pursuit of Jade. This surge has also brought increased industry attention, including brand endorsements and new drama offers.
One rumored project is the upcoming costume drama Wan Qing Si, where Snow Kong is said to be under consideration to star alongside Song Weilong, known for Shine on Me. However, this information has not been confirmed.
Meanwhile, Zhao Lusi is also reportedly in talks for the same project and may join production as early as April, making the final casting decision highly anticipated.
With her rapidly rising popularity and increasing opportunities, Snow Kong is entering a new phase in her career—transitioning from a standout supporting actress to a strong contender for leading roles in major productions.
