Many people were unaware that Dilraba’s father is far from an ordinary figure. The man who has lived a relatively low-profile life for years is actually a highly respected artist with a long career in the performing arts.
Dilraba’s father, Dilimulati·Aibaidula, is a National First-Class Performer with the Xinjiang Song and Dance Troupe and a well-known singer who receives a special allowance from China’s State Council. In his early years, he studied at the China Conservatory of Music and spent decades dedicated to promoting and preserving Xinjiang’s ethnic music.

One of his most famous works is the classic song Grassland Night, which is widely known among audiences and regarded as a signature piece in his artistic career.
He recently entered the public spotlight again after performing at the 2026 Kekedala Spring Festival Gala. During the event, he sang Grassland Night with remarkable vocal stability and strength. Many netizens praised the performance as “textbook-level singing,” highlighting his clear high notes, excellent breath control, and deeply emotional delivery.
Videos of the performance quickly spread across the internet and went viral. Only then did many viewers realize that Dilraba’s artistic talent may also come from a strong family legacy.
Dilraba’s own path into the entertainment industry is indeed closely connected to the artistic environment she grew up in. She entered a professional dance academy at the age of nine and later joined the Xinjiang Song and Dance Troupe when she was 15.
Growing up watching her father perform on stage helped shape her disciplined and professional attitude. That influence can still be seen in her acting career today.
In many of her film and television projects, Dilraba is known for performing difficult scenes herself without relying on stunt doubles whenever possible. She is also recognized for carefully studying and refining the details of each character she portrays.
Perhaps even more notable is how low-key both father and daughter have remained. Despite enjoying a high reputation in Xinjiang’s arts community—her father even has a statue displayed in a Xinjiang museum—neither of them has ever used their family background to attract publicity.
Following the viral performance, many netizens said they gained a deeper appreciation for Dilraba’s success. In their view, her achievements are not only the result of popularity, but also part of a long-standing artistic tradition within her family.
