LayarHijau – A viral incident on Weibo involved top Chinese star Dilraba Dilmurat. The actress, who is also a Global Ambassador for Dior, failed to attend the Paris Fashion Week show after being stranded at Dubai airport.
According to reports on Chinese social media, Dilraba was scheduled to be one of the main guests at the Dior show. However, her important trip was disrupted when her connecting flight was canceled due to the temporary closure of Dubai’s airspace amid security concerns in the Middle East, making the transit route risky. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs had even issued a travel advisory.
As a result of the cancellation, Dilraba was reportedly stuck at the airport for up to 24 hours, unable to continue her journey to Paris or return home.
The situation sparked major outrage among fans. Their frustration grew after rumors circulated that some members of her management team had already flown ahead to Paris, leaving Dilraba alone. The team’s handling, considered a “disaster” by fans, led many to believe that they failed to protect their star.
“Are they treating their artist like a solo warrior? Other teams protect their stars, but Dilraba’s team just ‘led her into trouble,’” wrote one frustrated fan on Weibo.
In response to the massive criticism, Dilraba’s management studio released an official statement, confirming the incident and explaining it was due to an unforeseen emergency beyond their control. They also apologized to Dior and the fans for the inconvenience.
However, the apology did not seem enough to calm fans. Many felt the situation could have been avoided if the team had planned better and chosen a safer direct flight route.
Although Dilraba is reported to be safe, the incident not only caused her to miss a major opportunity at one of the world’s most prestigious fashion events but also raised serious doubts about her management team’s professionalism. Fans hope the team will learn from this mistake and pay closer attention to planning and international travel advisories in the future.
