LayarHijau – Weibo is trending with rumors that popular stars Bai Jingting and Zhang Ruonan may reunite for a new drama. The speculation started after a user posted, “Finally waiting for their second collaboration! Bai Jingting and Zhang Ruonan working together again, ‘Let’s Take My Boss Away’ is perfect.”
The drama in question, Let’s Take My Boss Away (快把我老板带走), is adapted from the popular novel by Ye Feiran. It follows Jiang Xiaoyi, an office worker, and her boss, Ye Zhen, who unexpectedly switch identities after traveling through time to a parallel world. Blending fantasy, romantic comedy, and office intrigue, the drama promises compelling chemistry between the lead characters. Although a concept poster was released in September 2024 and the series was planned to air in 2025, it has yet to premiere, fueling speculation and anticipation among fans.

Netizens Divided
The news of a possible reunion has sparked mixed reactions online. Many fans are excited, recalling the chemistry Bai Jingting and Zhang Ruonan shared in their previous drama, The First Frost. “I fully support this! Really? I’m so happy,” wrote one fan. Others remain skeptical, especially considering both actors’ busy schedules. “This is totally fake! Bai Jingting hasn’t even finished filming his new drama, so he won’t have time for this at all,” commented a Weibo user. Several fans advised waiting for official confirmation before jumping to conclusions.
Current Projects
Despite the reunion buzz, both actors are currently focused on separate projects. Bai Jingting is filming the crime drama Criminal Police Moment 1: The Prime of Youth (刑警时刻1：风华正茂), produced by New Classics Media, where he plays police officer Ren Jiangchuan in a story full of intrigue and action.
Meanwhile, Zhang Ruonan has just begun filming the urban romance drama I Live in Your Time (想把你和时间藏起来), co-starring Wang Anyu, featuring a modern, emotional love story. Their busy schedules mean fans will have to wait for official confirmation regarding a potential collaboration.
