LayarHijau – The name Mo Bao Fei Bao may not always appear on screen, but her works are widely recognized among Chinese drama fans. The writer behind several hit romantic stories has revealed that she has been officially divorced since 2021.
The announcement was made through her personal social media account on February 25. In the statement, she also addressed recent speculation surrounding her private life.

The novelist, whose real name is Jiang Chunlei, explained that the divorce was due to the fault of her former husband. She emphasized that all property division matters had already been fully settled.
“I divorced in 2021. The man was the one at fault, and the property division has been completely settled. I have a child, and I do not want my child to see too much (media coverage), so I will not discuss this matter further,” she wrote.

She also firmly denied rumors claiming that royalties or manuscript fees were divided as part of the divorce settlement, calling such claims false.
As one of the top writers in China’s entertainment industry, Mo Bao Fei Bao is known for her emotionally resonant romance stories, often featuring devoted male leads and heartfelt relationships. She graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and has long been active in both novel writing and screenwriting.
Many of her works have been successfully adapted into popular Chinese dramas, including Go Go Squid! (亲爱的,热爱的), One and Only (周生如故), Forever and Ever (一生一世), Amidst a Snowstorm of Love (在暴雪时分), Love Me, Love My Voice (很想很想你), Road Home (归路), and Go Go Squid 2: Dt. Appledog’s Time (我的时代,你的时代).
In addition, she contributed as a screenwriter to several well-known dramas such as Scarlet Heart, which was adapted from the novel by Tong Hua; My Sunshine, based on the novel by Gu Man; and The Flame’s Daughter, adapted from the novel by Ming Xiaoxi.
Her candid revelation has drawn sympathy and support from fans, many of whom expressed encouragement for her to stay strong and continue creating the romantic stories that audiences have come to love.
