LayarHijau– Chinese actor Ding Yuxi has become a hot topic online after his actions at an offline gold jewelry brand event on January 25 went viral on social media. In several circulating videos, Ding Yuxi can be seen attending the event and personally taking out his bank card to purchase gold jewelry, which he then gave directly to fans present at the venue.
Netizens quickly dubbed the moment a real-life “CEO-style scene.” Many online users commented that the level of fan service (special treatment or direct attention given by a celebrity to fans) shown by Ding Yuxi was far from ordinary, with some even calling it “too hardcore” (extremely bold and beyond what is usually expected). Joking comments also emerged, suggesting that being a fan these days could actually be “financially rewarding.”

According to information circulating online, the jewelry purchased by Ding Yuxi included one necklace and three gold bracelets, which were randomly given to four fans at the scene. One item that drew particular attention was a small horse-shaped gold accessory. Initially, its value was said to exceed 10,000 yuan. However, other sources claimed that the horse-shaped piece was worth around 20,000 yuan, equivalent to approximately USD 2,800.
One fan, identified as S, who said she received one of the gold bracelets, shared her experience on social media. Speaking to reporters, she revealed that she had traveled from Hangzhou to Shanghai specifically to attend the event and had waited in line for a long time.
“He knew that we came from far away and waited for a long time just to see him. He noticed all of that,” S said. She added that Ding Yuxi’s care for his fans felt sincere and heartfelt. “It feels like mutual support. We appreciate each other, and we’ll continue to support him.”
Further checks show that the gold bracelet received by S is now being sold online with labels such as “Ding Yuxi same style” or “Ding Yuxi edition,” priced at around 6,800 yuan, or approximately USD 950. This detail has further fueled online discussion, with many netizens praising Ding Yuxi’s actions as genuine care rather than a mere publicity gesture.
Ding Yuxi’s decision to purchase and give away gold jewelry directly at the event has led many online users to comment that the standard for fan service in the entertainment industry is rising rapidly. Some even joked that fans are now entering what they call a “golden era” of celebrity fandom.
