LayarHijau – Short drama actor He Jianqi has come under public scrutiny after a netizen claiming to be his ex-girlfriend filed an online report accusing him of alleged drug use. The accusation quickly sparked widespread discussion on social media, given He Jianqi’s reputation as one of the most popular actors in the short drama scene.
On the night of January 25, a Weibo user using the name “何健麒的债” (literally, “He Jianqi’s Debt”), who claimed to be his former partner, posted a实名举报 (real-name report). In her post, she accused the actor of using drugs multiple times in 2021 while they were living together. She further alleged that in October 2021, He Jianqi was taken by Beijing Haidian police for questioning and underwent urine, blood, and hair follicle tests, with related records allegedly kept at the Haidian Public Security Law Enforcement Case Management Center.

The user also claimed that He Jianqi shaved his head to conceal traces of the inspection and later wore hair extensions styled in braids to disguise his appearance.
In response, the official account @何健麒SEVEN-7工作室 (He Jianqi SEVEN-7 Studio) issued a firm statement denying the allegations. The studio stated that the information posted by the user was false and constituted defamation. It confirmed that a police report had been filed and that legal action would be taken to pursue criminal liability for defamation, as well as compensation for any losses incurred.
He Jianqi himself also responded briefly on social media, writing, “别搞我啦，造谣你都得有个谱啊” (stop messing with me — even rumors should at least make sense). He also mentioned that his income was not as high as some narratives suggested, emphasizing that the claims circulating online were unfounded.
According to publicly available information, He Jianqi was born on February 26, 1995, in Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province. He graduated from Heilongjiang Communications Vocational and Technical College, majoring in passenger and freight transportation. He rose to prominence through several popular short dramas, including Affectionate Seduction, Love After Reborn, and Help, My Husband Is Actually the President, earning him recognition as one of the leading actors in the short drama market.
Prior to the drug-related allegations, He Jianqi had already been involved in another controversy. In early March 2025, a netizen claiming to be the top donor in his livestream accused him of infidelity. The accuser shared donation records totaling nearly 150,000 yuan along with photos as supporting evidence.
The controversy also affected He Jianqi’s acting projects. Producer Yu Zheng previously confirmed that He Jianqi had been replaced in the costume drama Glory (玉茗茶骨), starring Hou Minghao and Gulnazar. Yu Zheng explained that the role was only a minor supporting part and not among the female lead’s seven main romantic pairings, stating that replacing the actor would not impact the core storyline.
Yu Zheng emphasized that the decision was made out of caution, noting that all actors involved in his projects are now subject to strict background checks. He stressed that the production team cannot afford even the slightest risk, as any unexpected issue could jeopardize the hard work of the entire crew.
As of now, authorities have not released any official updates regarding the police report filed by He Jianqi’s studio. Meanwhile, the public has been urged to refrain from believing or spreading unverified information.
