Meanwhile, Love’s Ambition (許我耀眼), starring Zhao Lusi and William Chan, did not appear on the Weibo rating list despite being the most-watched idol drama of the year. The series recorded an average of 65.77 million views per episode, making it the top drama in terms of viewership.
The absence of Love’s Ambition from the rankings is not related to its quality. According to the original report, the situation stems from Zhao Lusi’s dispute with her former agency, Galaxy Cool Entertainment. During the controversy, Zhao Lusi chose to delete her personal Weibo account, which had over 30 million followers. As a result, Weibo is unable to actively open or link a rating page associated with her name, leaving Love’s Ambition without an official Weibo score.
While this decision significantly reduced negative online attention surrounding Zhao Lusi, it also meant that Love’s Ambition could not be rated by Weibo users. Nevertheless, the drama’s popularity remains undeniable. The project is widely seen as a turning point in Zhao Lusi’s career, as there are rumors that she successfully parted ways with her former agency and later joined Hujing Entertainment under Alibaba’s umbrella.
