That night, Esther Yu’s character takes the initiative to kiss He Yu. The two then perform a passionate kissing scene that leads to the bedroom, with emotional and sensual tension reaching its peak, making the entire sequence feel extremely sweet and sparking widespread discussion on social media. He Yu later follows Esther Yu home and resolves his misunderstanding with her mother, portrayed by Christy Chung. With the blessings of family and friends, the couple prepares to get married. However, on the wedding day, the bridesmaids and groomsmen are too drunk to wake up. In the final scene, He Yu takes Esther Yu—both wearing a suit and wedding gown—and rides a motorcycle along the coastal road.
Despite the happy ending, the drama has drawn criticism for failing to include the wedding dance scene that had previously leaked online. This left some Chinese netizens disappointed, accusing the editing of being messy and calling the finale a “bad ending.”
In episodes 25 to 30, the character Jin Chao (played by He Yu) learns that his physical condition has deteriorated due to lingering effects from the accident, and that surgery cannot guarantee a full recovery. Although he still loves his former stepsister, Jiang Mu (played by Esther Yu), he chooses to let her go. At the same time, Jiang Mu’s mother (played by Christy Chung) must undergo surgery in Canada. Jin Chao endures his pain and bids Jiang Mu a composed farewell before she leaves for Canada. However, after Jiang Mu departs, Jin Chao falls into a coma, leaving viewers heartbroken.
Years later, the two reunite. Jiang Mu finally learns the real reason Jin Chao chose to break up with her in the past. She breaks down emotionally, and after overcoming numerous hardships, the two manage to resolve their misunderstandings, confess their love, and reunite. This reconciliation scene once again moved many viewers to tears.
On the night of their confession, Jiang Mu boldly kisses Jin Chao. Jin Chao softly asks, “Have you really thought this through?” Jiang Mu smiles sweetly, pushes him onto the sofa, and sits directly on his lap. The two share an intense and passionate kiss that moves from the sofa to the bedroom, with emotional tension exploding. As if trying to make up for the years they spent apart, their kisses continue endlessly after the bedroom scene—in the living room, kitchen, and study—turning the entire house into a stage for their romance. The scenes are both romantic and sweet, leaving viewers highly satisfied.
Jiang Mu later brings Jin Chao home to meet her mother. Although her mother initially remains cold, she eventually reconciles with her former stepson. With the blessings of family and friends, the couple prepares for a joyful wedding. Their friends gather as bridesmaids and groomsmen, but on the wedding day, they drink too much and fail to wake up. Jin Chao takes Jiang Mu’s hand and says, “Let’s run away.” In the final scene, the couple—wearing a wedding gown and suit—rides a motorcycle along the coastal road, creating a highly romantic visual.

Despite the happy ending, the wedding dance scene featuring Esther Yu and He Yu, which had previously been exposed during filming, was completely removed from the broadcast version. This disappointed some Chinese netizens, who criticized the production team for poor editing and wasting the actors’ hard work.
