LayarHijau— Zhao Lusi’s recent post on Red Note has caught the attention of fans. She shared a photo of a white parakeet and a selfie, but what really grabbed fans’ eyes was the TV in the background, paused on a scene with two characters in traditional costumes.
Sharp-eyed fans quickly realized Zhao Lusi was rewatching the drama Love Like the Galaxy. The couple on screen is Cheng Zhi (played by Zhang Tianyang) and his wife Sang Sunhua (played by Peng Yang). Cheng Zhi is the third uncle of Cheng Shaoshang, Zhao Lusi’s character.

Fans even tracked down the exact episode: episode 11. In this episode, Cheng Shaoshang is punished with military training by her mother, but her uncle and aunt intervene. The scene highlights the strained relationship between Cheng Shaoshang and her mother, while her uncle and aunt care for her like their own child. On the way to Huaxian, Cheng Shaoshang gazes at the vast sky and says, “I’ve never seen such a large eagle, flying free. I want to be like that too—independent, unbound, free to spread my wings.”
Love Like the Galaxy, starring Zhao Lusi and Wu Lei, was a massive hit, with their on-screen chemistry sparking fan pairings (CP) and romance rumors.
Alongside her latest post, rumors have emerged that Zhao Lusi might attend the Tencent Star Awards 2025 later this year. This speculation comes after the success of her drama Love’s Ambition with William Chan, which aired on Tencent Video in China and on international platforms including WeTV, Vidio, and Viu. The drama’s phenomenal success makes it plausible for both Zhao Lusi and William Chan to attend the awards show.
Before Love’s Ambition, Zhao Lusi faced a difficult period while filming Lovers with Peng Guanying. The challenging production left her seriously ill, forcing a break from acting. After recovering, she reportedly had an open conflict with her management, Galaxy Cool Entertainment. Rumors suggest she may have joined a new agency, though she has not confirmed this publicly.
Ahead of her birthday, Zhao Lusi released two new songs and held a free concert for fans. She announced a new studio on Weibo during the concert, but again did not mention her management situation.
Despite her recent successes, Zhao Lusi emphasized that she has no plans to start filming a new drama yet. She is still undergoing treatment for anxiety and depression, a process that requires time and care. Her health also limits her ability to attend public events. During a livestream, she explained that she needs time to fully restore her mind and body.
When fans asked if she might return to filming next spring, Zhao Lusi replied, “I will do my best!” This is the first hint she has given regarding her upcoming projects, leaving fans eagerly anticipating her return to the screen.
