LayarHijau – Zhao Lusi’s name is not only shining again through the drama Love’s Ambition (许我耀眼) but also soaring in the fashion world. Since being appointed as the global ambassador for luxury label JORYA (卓雅) in August 2024, the 26-year-old actress has helped the brand soar to record-breaking heights.

According to JORYA’s financial report for the first half of 2025, the brand recorded sales of about $980 million, with a net profit of roughly $2 million. These figures mark a more than 200 percent increase compared to the same period last year, when Zhao Lusi had not yet become the official face of the brand.

This achievement is seen as solid proof of Zhao Lusi’s influence across both entertainment and fashion. Her performance in Love’s Ambition, one of this year’s biggest hits, has reinforced her glamorous and elegant image—perfectly matching JORYA’s signature aesthetic. Unsurprisingly, several outfits she wore in the series reportedly boosted sales at JORYA boutiques across China.

JORYA Stayed Loyal During Zhao Lusi’s Illness

What impressed the public even more was JORYA’s loyalty during Zhao Lusi’s health struggles last year. The actress was reportedly hospitalized and diagnosed with dissociative disorder while filming Lovers (恋人). Despite her condition, JORYA never ended their partnership; instead, the brand even allowed her to livestream from product photoshoots—a risky move since the collections had not yet been officially released.

That selfless support strengthened JORYA’s positive image. Many fans view the mutual loyalty between Zhao Lusi and JORYA as the ideal relationship between a brand and its ambassador—one that uplifts both sides.

New Visual That Took Social Media by Storm

Recently, JORYA unveiled its latest campaign photos featuring Zhao Lusi for the 2025 fall-winter collection. In the images, she appears with soft blonde hair and a textured white ensemble—a look that instantly went viral on Weibo. Comments poured in calling her “a real-life goddess” and “the embodiment of winter itself.”

Rumored New Contract with Tiger Whale Entertainment

Zhao Lusi’s sweeping success in both entertainment and fashion coincides with reports that she is now under a new management company, Tiger Whale Entertainment (虎鲸文娱)—a firm under the Alibaba Group umbrella. According to several Chinese entertainment outlets, the move reportedly stems from a major restructuring within Alibaba following Zhao Lusi’s long-standing conflict with her former agency, Galaxy Cool Entertainment (银河酷娱).

The dispute began during the filming of Lovers, when Zhao Lusi fell ill but was allegedly denied medical treatment by the agency. After the incident became public, their relationship worsened until Galaxy Cool suspended all her activities. The crisis reportedly hit the company’s finances so hard that Alibaba, its largest shareholder, withdrew its investment.

Galaxy Cool was later said to have been acquired by Alibaba and merged into a newly formed talent management company called Tiger Whale Entertainment. In the process, all existing contracts—including Zhao Lusi’s—were reportedly transferred under Tiger Whale’s management. As a result, without signing a new deal, Zhao Lusi is said to have automatically become the agency’s only artist.

Although this rumor has circulated widely among fans and Chinese media, neither Zhao Lusi nor Tiger Whale Entertainment has issued an official confirmation. Industry observers note that if true, the move could mark a major turning point for Zhao Lusi—giving her stronger backing to expand into international markets.

Now, with Love’s Ambition crowned Drama of the Year, her luxury collaboration with JORYA generating nearly $1 billion in sales, and the possibility of joining Alibaba’s new agency, Zhao Lusi appears to be entering the most promising phase of her career yet.
