LayarHijau– Zhao Lusi and William Chan’s drama Love’s Ambition (许我耀眼) continues to top TV ratings across China. But outside her busy filming schedule, Zhao Lusi once again stole the spotlight — this time by reuniting with her former co-star Victor Ma during a surprise livestream on October 6. The duo, affectionately dubbed the “Sang siblings” from Hidden Love (偷偷藏不住), drew over 100,000 live viewers within minutes.
During the broadcast, Victor Ma suddenly stood up in the middle of their meal and began flexing his arm muscles in front of the camera. A stunned Zhao Lusi laughed and blurted, “What’s wrong with you!?” The playful banter instantly reminded fans of their on-screen brother-sister dynamic in Hidden Love, where Zhao played Sang Zhi and Victor portrayed her protective but sharp-tongued brother, Sang Yan. Many fans gushed that the livestream felt like a “bonus episode” and flooded the comments asking the two to star in another project together.

Zhao Lusi and Victor Ma’s friendship began during the filming of Hidden Love. In the drama, Sang Zhi secretly harbors feelings for her brother’s friend Duan Jiaxu (played by Chen Zheyuan), while Sang Yan constantly bickers with her in his own caring way. Their lively on-screen chemistry — coupled with their behind-the-scenes camaraderie — made them one of the most beloved sibling pairs in recent C-drama history.
Before this reunion, Zhao Lusi had taken a short break due to illness during the filming of The Lovers. Upon recovery, she returned through the charity reality show Be Myself (小小的勇气), in which she participated without pay. Because it was a goodwill project, Zhao personally invited her closest friends to join — including Victor Ma. However, his segment was eventually cut due to interference from his agency, Yinhe Kuyu. Despite that, their friendship remained strong. The two even reunited during the Mid-Autumn Festival for a hotpot dinner, where Zhao gifted him handmade mooncakes, Upmedia reported.
During their latest livestream, Zhao teasingly asked Victor if he had watched her new drama Love’s Ambition. He admitted, “I bought a VIP account, but I’ve been too busy lately, so I haven’t watched it yet.” Zhao shot back, “Then watch it now!” and immediately played a clip from the series live on air, sending viewers into fits of laughter.
Things got even funnier when Victor started explaining why his T-shirt looked so tight. “After eating, my muscles swell up — so it basically turns sleeveless,” he said proudly. Zhao rolled her eyes and retorted, “Victor Ma, what’s wrong with you!?” The chat exploded with laughter as fans praised their natural, easy chemistry.
Zhao also brought up Victor’s eccentric red carpet outfit — a pair of jeans adorned with silver chains that revealed tight black leggings underneath. When asked about it, Victor confessed, “The jeans were too heavy and started falling down. I couldn’t keep pulling them up on the red carpet, so I just let them drop. I only play it real, bro!” His deadpan delivery left Zhao laughing uncontrollably.
Fans have since praised their genuine bond and comic timing, noting that Zhao Lusi looked much healthier and happier compared to her appearance during Be Myself. Many are now eagerly hoping for another on-screen reunion between the beloved Hidden Love duo.
