LayarHijau– Popular Chinese actress Zhao Lusi has once again found herself in the public spotlight after making a series of emotional statements during a livestream on social media. The actress, who took a break last year due to work-related exhaustion, is now caught in a prolonged dispute with her agency, Galaxy Cool Entertainment.
According to a post on Weibo, contract termination negotiations between Zhao and her agency have dragged on for months with no progress, leaving the actress under immense pressure.
During a two-day livestream, Zhao’s voice trembled as she opened up about her feelings. She said she had “one foot already out of the industry” and added, “Now I probably have a full foot out, all that’s left is my heel.” She even half-joked that one day she might switch careers to become a Didi driver, referring to China’s ride-hailing service.
Beyond her career woes, Zhao also addressed renewed rumors about plastic surgery. While eating and chatting with fans during another livestream the next day, one viewer commented that her nose looked surgically enhanced.
The remark instantly set Zhao off. She accused the netizen of “spreading nonsense” and “fueling rumors for years.” In a heated moment, she swore, “If I had nose surgery, I’d quit and get hit by a car.”
Once she calmed down, Zhao explained that her high nose bridge runs in the family. “My parents and grandparents all have high noses,” she said. She added that she has had a bump on her nose since childhood that left a mark. “If I’d had surgery, I would have made it straighter and smoother,” she remarked.
Zhao’s words reflect the dilemma she faces—trying to please her audience while navigating career challenges and enduring personal attacks online.
