LayarHijau – Rising Chinese actor Wang Xingyue recently stirred up a buzz on social media after posting two aesthetically moody photos that led many fans to a hilarious misunderstanding. In the first image, a man wearing a tight grey T-shirt and a cap is seen looking down at his phone. The second photo shows a pair of eyes reflected in a car’s rearview mirror, evoking a misty, intimate atmosphere.
Because the man’s face wasn’t clearly visible, many fans assumed it was Wang himself. One even wrote a dramatic post, describing the subject as “a ruler of the business world, mysterious and charismatic, shedding his daytime facade to reveal his nighttime softness and solitude.”

But Wang quickly ended the speculation with a short and funny comment: “? That’s my dad.” According to a report by World Journal, the photos were actually posted in honor of International Father’s Day as a tribute to his father.
Netizens burst into laughter over the revelation. Comments flooded in, saying things like “compliments went to the wrong person,” “my eyes betrayed me,” and “Wang’s dad is like the Tony Leung of all fathers.” Others joked, “Like father, like son—they literally share the same face!”
Wang Xingyue’s close bond with his father is well known to fans. In the variety show Wonderland (original title: 《五十公里桃花坞》), Wang was seen video calling his dad in Hunan dialect for cooking help. He also once admitted to calling his father late at night in tears after a college breakup. Their heartfelt relationship has touched many viewers.
