The series even surpassed Dylan Wang’s new drama, “Guardians of Dafeng.” As of this writing, “Moonlight Mystique” holds the second position on Maoyan’s rankings, while the top spot is still occupied by the new drama “Flourished Peony” starring Yang Zi and Li Xian.
In “Moonlight Mystique,” Bai Lu demonstrates her impressive acting skills, and many netizens have praised the chemistry between her and Ao Ruipeng. To further enhance the drama’s popularity, Bai Lu and Ao Ruipeng have promoted their couple pairing (CP) through various interactions during livestreams, including videos shared on Douyin. For instance, during a promotional livestream, Bai Lu’s ring broke, and Ao Ruipeng reached out to collect the broken pieces. In a viral Douyin video, Ao Ruipeng was seen effortlessly carrying Bai Lu with one hand, as reported by Upmedia.
Amid the drama’s popularity and the sweet interactions between the two leads, netizens have also highlighted Bai Lu’s interactions with Li Yunrui. Reports suggest that Li Yunrui is competing with several other actors, including Ding Yuxi and Cheng Lei, for the male lead role in the upcoming drama “Mo Li,” which Bai Lu is rumored to star in as the female lead.
Recently, Bai Lu was photographed with Li Yunrui at the Weibo Night 2024 event. Following the event, she followed Li Yunrui’s Weibo account. Rumors of a potential pairing between Bai Lu and Li Yunrui began circulating while Li Yunrui was starring in “Blossom” alongside Meng Ziyi. It is also known that Li Yunrui has previously collaborated with the producer of “Mo Li,” fueling speculation that Bai Lu has chosen him as her partner in this new drama. Reports indicate that filming is expected to start in May 2025.
