LayarHijau – A female fan has spoken out to clarify a misunderstanding after a video of her kissing South Korean coser Yasal at an autograph event in China went viral on social media. The video surpassed 30 million views in less than a day. However, the fan’s short hair and androgynous appearance led some viewers to mistakenly believe that Yasal had kissed a male fan.
The fan later posted a statement on social media to clear up the confusion. She emphasized that she is a woman who simply prefers to wear her hair short, and that her hairstyle does not make her a man.

“I am a girl. I just have short hair, but that doesn’t mean I am a boy. I just hope you will find out the facts before sharing things like this in the future. I didn’t expect this to develop into such a big situation. I hope that when you see something like this, you can help clarify the misunderstanding. Thank you,” she wrote.
Yasal Also Clears Up the Misunderstanding
Yasal also addressed the situation in a comment written in English. She confirmed that the person she kissed in the video was one of her female fans. She also explained that the kiss had been requested by the fan herself and urged people not to misunderstand what happened.
Yasal previously attracted attention for her dedication during Bilibili World 2025 in Shanghai. Since then, her close interactions with fans, including holding hands and posing for photos at close range, have continued to earn her invitations to various anime conventions across China.
This was also not the first time Yasal had kissed a female fan. As of this writing, the video and clarifications from both parties continue to generate discussion on social media.
