LayarHijau – HoYoverse has announced that Version 3.3 of Zenless Zone Zero, titled “A Back to the Sky Journey,” will launch on October 21, 2026. The update introduces two new S-Rank Agents, Phoenix and Severian, a new mecha combat gameplay mode, various events, and system improvements.
Phoenix, an S-Rank Fire Anomaly Agent, will appear in the first phase alongside the S-Rank W-Engine Plume of Rebirth. Severian, an S-Rank Wind Attack Agent, will arrive in the second phase with the S-Rank W-Engine Incarcerating Grip. The update will also introduce mecha combat, allowing Proxies to switch between close-range and long-range attacks.

The Conflict in Roscaelifer Intensifies
In the Version 3.3 main story, tensions on the sky island of Roscaelifer continue to escalate. All access routes to Booastrum have been sealed off, leaving the air harbor on Quietude Isle, now under enemy control, as the only way back to the island.
The situation forces two longtime adversaries, Judge Phoenix and Commissioner Severian, to work together. They must put their past differences aside to confront the growing threat.
Meanwhile, the Proxy will travel to the island alongside Lindverne to infiltrate High Ambitions Corp.’s headquarters and uncover the truth behind the three Sunbringers and the Karma Cores within their bodies.
Phoenix and Severian Join as New S-Rank Agents
Phoenix is an S-Rank Fire Anomaly Agent and the second-ranked fighter in the Krampus Compliance Authority. Thanks to her exceptional physique, she is extremely difficult to defeat. The harder her opponents fight against her, the more her fighting spirit is ignited.
Phoenix’s Core Skill, Nirvana, inflicts Sear on enemies affected by Anomaly. This effect allows the next instance of Anomaly DMG those enemies receive to trigger a CRIT.
Phoenix also has a unique survival ability. When she takes a fatal hit, she will not be eliminated immediately. Instead, she can activate Rebirth to revive with full HP and return to battle.
Phoenix will be available in the first phase of Signal Search alongside the S-Rank W-Engine Plume of Rebirth.
In the second phase, players can obtain Severian, an S-Rank Wind Attack Agent who serves as a senior commissioner in New Eridu Public Security. He does not hesitate to use force when necessary to uphold order.
Severian’s Core Skill, Endless Breeze, allows him to automatically evade incoming attacks and use the resulting momentum to launch counterattacks. After successfully dodging or hitting enemies with certain attacks, he can accumulate Energy to unleash a more powerful series of slashes.
Severian will be available alongside the S-Rank W-Engine Incarcerating Grip.
The update will also bring back several previously released Agents and W-Engines. The S-Rank Agent Velina and the W-Engine Joyau Dore will return in the first phase, while Norma and the W-Engine Chief Sidekick will return in the second phase.
New Agent Outfits and Rewards
Version 3.3 introduces two new outfits for Phoenix, which can be purchased together as a set at a 30% discount for a limited time.
Severian’s everyday uniform, titled “Impeccable Authority,” will also be available in the shop when the second phase of Signal Search begins.
Players can additionally obtain new avatars and dynamic wallpapers, as well as unlock new Trust Events for both Agents. New sidebar themes and charms introduced in Version 3.3 can also be obtained through the New Eridu City Fund in the game.
New Events Arrive in Version 3.3
In the upcoming update, shopkeepers across Lumina Square will join forces for the Mysterious Supernatural Night event. The HIA Club will also introduce a new VR game titled Terror in the Haunted House.
During the event, Proxies can pilot various Trickmobiles to scare away unwanted visitors. Rewards include the Angels of Delusion outfit, a new A-Rank W-Engine, and new Proxy accessories.
The Cyber Witch, Ready for Duty! event will also return, allowing the Proxy to once again take on the role of a Cyber Witch. This time, players must repair Bangboo that have gone out of control after accidentally consuming a “poisonous” chip.
Meanwhile, the Trail of the Limping Crow event challenges Proxies to track down the culprit who attacked Crowe. In Restore! Floating Paintings, players must piece together fragments of paintings that have gone missing at sea.
Familiar events will also return. Area Patrol and Combat Simulation Room will be available again with double rewards.
New Mecha Combat Gameplay
One of the main highlights of Version 3.3 is a new mecha combat experience integrated into the main story.
Lindverne will use the power of her Karma Core, Genesis Reconstruction, to create several combat mechs belonging to High Ambitions Corp. The Proxy can then pilot these mechs to fight enemies.
The mechs feature two attack modes, close-range and long-range, which players can switch between freely during combat. After performing an EX Special Attack or successfully dodging an enemy attack, the Proxy can also unleash a powerful laser strike.
The surrounding environment will play a role in both combat and puzzle-solving. Players can shoot explosive objects or use powerful punches to move heavy objects, helping them overcome obstacles and progress through challenges.
This mecha gameplay will not be limited to Version 3.3, as it will remain available in future versions.
In addition, the permanent gameplay mode Mysterious Labyrinth, which combines exploration, combat, and Hollow extraction, will receive a new seasonal update titled Eerie Trials.
During this challenge, the Devilboo Instructor, who calls himself the “Demon Teacher,” will put Proxies through three rounds of progressively challenging trials.
Players can collect Candle Cores during the trials and compare prices at various shops owned by friends or members of the Outpost group to sell them for the best possible price.
Fairy Gains a Team Recommendation Feature
Version 3.3 also introduces several system improvements designed to help players better understand the game and develop their teams.
Fairy will offer a team recommendation feature that suggests Agent combinations, strategies, and basic gameplay guides based on the Agents a player owns. Recommended team compositions can also be applied directly to Team Presets with a single click.
Some Agents will receive dedicated tutorial videos to help players learn how to use them more quickly.
During team setup in certain permanent combat modes, the system will also provide challenge tips based on the number of team members, character development progress, and team synergy. Players can open the relevant guides directly with a single click.
Information about Inter-Knot Reputation promotion benefits will also become clearer. The system will provide guidance or reminders based on a player’s Inter-Knot Level and promotion progress.
Players can additionally obtain a total of 10 Encrypted Master Tapes and 10 Boopons through the new version’s login event.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.3, A Back to the Sky Journey, will launch on October 21, 2026, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PC, iOS, and Android. The update will also launch on Steam simultaneously.
Several Agents and Bangboo will soon be available on Discord as well. Starting October 21, players can link their accounts to display their Zenless Zone Zero gaming activity on their Discord profiles.
