LayarHijau – Zhao Lusi’s dessert shop Rooosy Time in Chengdu has drawn crowds since opening for its trial run. Lines began forming around the dining area early in the morning, while the first batch of breads and pastries was nearly sold out just 40 minutes after the shop opened.
Rooosy Time held its trial run from September 21 to 23 before officially opening on September 24. The shop is located at Fanmu Flying International Cultural and Creative Park in Chengdu.
On September 23, long lines had already formed in the dining area shortly after the shop opened. According to Cover News, which visited the location, one customer even traveled from Luzhou on an early-morning train specifically to visit the shop. Luzhou is another city in Sichuan province, about 260 kilometers from Chengdu by road.
The customers were not all Zhao Lusi fans. A number of local college students and office workers also stopped by before lunch to check out the new shop.
One customer, identified by the surname Li, said she arrived at exactly 10 a.m. and waited about an hour and a half before finally getting to try the light meal set. Meanwhile, the first batch of breads and pastries was almost completely gone after the shop had been open for around 40 minutes.
Rooosy Time features a Korean-inspired interior with white walls and natural wood accents. The space is also relatively spacious, leading some early customers to describe the atmosphere as feeling like “Jeju Island, but in Chengdu.”
The menu covers a wide range of options, from coffee, desserts and cakes to full meals. Offerings include kombucha, soufflé, sandwiches, brunch platters, baked dishes, as well as various cakes and desserts.
Individual items are priced between 26 and 98 yuan, or roughly $3.60 to $13.70. One of the popular choices is the egg- and dairy-free wheat-and-black-sesame cake, priced at 78 yuan, or about $10.90.
However, the biggest focus has been the Sichuan-style cold noodles, priced at 48 yuan, or about $6.70. The dish has emerged as one of the main talking points among customers visiting the shop.
The opening of Rooosy Time also marks a new step for Zhao Lusi in the food business after her previous dessert shop in Hengdian shut down following a trademark dispute with a business partner. Zhao Lusi had previously said during a livestream that she would not open another dessert shop.
With the launch of Rooosy Time in Chengdu, Zhao Lusi has now returned to the dessert business. The strong response during the trial run was reflected in the long lines and customers traveling from outside the city to visit the shop.
Outside of her business activities, Zhao Lusi previously made a public appeal to end her contract with her management company, Galaxy Cool Entertainment, and eventually succeeded in ending their working relationship.
In 2025, Zhao Lusi also returned to the spotlight with the drama Love’s Ambition. In May this year, her Bangkok concert also drew a strong response, with all 12,000 tickets reportedly selling out within just 38 seconds of going on sale.
