Sun Yuchen also said he has been busy handling matters related to his business. He explained that the post reflected his own thoughts and perspective on what had happened.
Asked whether everything he wrote was true, Sun Yuchen stopped short of saying that his account was 100 percent accurate. He said he could not guarantee that every detail was completely true, but maintained that he wrote what he genuinely thought and wanted to say.
As for his current relationship with Jing Tian, Sun Yuchen said the two are no longer in contact. He also acknowledged that the relationship had taken a significant emotional toll on him.
“This relationship has been very draining for me,” Sun Yuchen said.
The controversy began on August 27, when a social media post claimed that Jing Tian had allegedly been involved with Sun Yuchen. The post also contained allegations of a dispute over a large sum of money, which was linked to claims concerning marriage-related payments and surrogacy.
The controversy escalated after Sun Yuchen discussed various details in his own post. However, the allegations surrounding the dispute remain claims made by the respective sides and have not been established as facts by a court.
Sun Yuchen’s lawyer, Zhang Qihuai, later said that his client had filed a civil lawsuit over a property dispute, naming Jing Tian and her parents as defendants. The amount involved in the case was reportedly more than 30 million yuan, or approximately US$4.2 million.
According to Zhang Qihuai, the case has been formally accepted and filed by the court. Sun Yuchen’s side has also applied for the preservation of assets in connection with the lawsuit.
After the case was accepted, Jing Tian’s side filed an objection challenging the court’s jurisdiction. Zhang Qihuai said the objection is still under review by the court.
The case has therefore not yet reached the stage of examining the substance of the dispute, and there is currently no final court ruling. This means the allegations and claims made by the two sides have not yet been legally determined.
Jing Tian had earlier responded to the controversy in a statement of her own. She said she would never sell her love or her soul for money.
“Past, present or future, I will never sell my love for money, let alone my soul,” Jing Tian wrote.
She also said that she still believes in love, while admitting that she has not always made the best judgments when it comes to relationships and still lacks wisdom in that area.
Jing Tian’s studio also issued a statement addressing the controversy. It said that an artist’s reputation is extremely important, but stressed that they would not remain silent in the face of what they described as attempts to exploit an artist’s reputation.
The studio said it would trust the legal process and leave the matter to the courts, adding that it had no intention of using public attention to resolve the dispute.
For now, both Sun Yuchen and Jing Tian have made their respective positions clear, while the legal dispute between them remains ongoing and has yet to result in a final court ruling.
