After several years in short dramas, Liu Qing does not consider himself finished with the learning process.
When asked about actors who eventually want to move away from commercially driven projects and focus only on heavier roles, Liu Qing said he prefers to remain open.

“Whatever role the director gives me, I’ll do it. I’ll get to work,” he said.
He also acknowledged that popularity is important for an actor.
“Popularity is very important to an actor. I also hope it comes my way,” Liu Qing said.
At the same time, he recognizes that becoming popular is not something an actor can completely control.
“It’s a matter of opportunity. What’s more important is doing my job well,” he said.
Even after several years in short dramas, Liu Qing believes he still has plenty to learn.
“I’ve been making short dramas for several years, but I’m still learning,” he said.
Behind His Relaxed Personality Is a Serious Work Ethic
Liu Qing may come across as relaxed when he is away from the set, but he takes his work seriously.
He said he rarely delays the schedule or arrives late because he understands how valuable time is during production.
“I basically don’t delay things or arrive late. Time is extremely valuable on a film set,” Liu Qing said.
He also described himself as someone who becomes highly energized once the cameras start rolling.
“I’m quite driven. When I’m acting, it’s like I’m running on adrenaline. I can work through several late nights in a row,” he said.
Once he leaves the set, however, he is able to switch off and return to his more laid-back personality.
“When I’m done working, I’m pretty relaxed,” Liu Qing said.
Playing CEO characters so frequently has even affected him outside of work.
At one point, people joked that even his WeChat messages sounded like they were written by a CEO.
“There was a period when people told me that even the way I typed on WeChat sounded like a CEO,” he said.
