In one episode, Tian Xiwei and Hu Yitian were required to work together to solve puzzles and find the answer to a secret code. Thanks to their teamwork, Tian Xiwei successfully completed the challenge.
When asked about his experience working with Tian Xiwei during the game, Hu Yitian gave high praise to his co-star. He even gave their teamwork a perfect score.
“I can give both of us a score of 100. Xiao Tian and I have great chemistry and complement each other. There are things she thinks of that I don’t. Without Xiao Tian, I wouldn’t have been able to find the answer.”
Hu Yitian explained that their ability to complement each other was the key reason they were able to complete the challenge successfully. His comments also attracted more attention toward the chemistry between the two actors.
Besides their teamwork, Tian Xiwei and Hu Yitian’s spontaneous interactions also became a highlight. In one moment, when Hu Yitian walked too quickly, Tian Xiwei jokingly said in a playful tone, “Teacher Hu, have you already stopped wanting me?”
The sweet exchange made many viewers praise their natural and harmonious interaction.
In another challenge, Tian Xiwei and Hu Yitian once again showed their teamwork when they received game clues and unexpectedly encountered Wang Anyu, Tian Xiwei’s previous co-star.
Tian Xiwei immediately asked Hu Yitian to “hide.” Hu Yitian quickly understood what she meant and approached Wang Anyu to chat, giving Tian Xiwei more time to search for the answer.
Their strategy worked. Tian Xiwei eventually found the answer they needed, allowing the pair to complete the challenge successfully.
The interactions between Tian Xiwei and Hu Yitian in Crazy Treasure Hunt Season 2 have received praise from many viewers, who complimented their chemistry as a pair. Some Chinese netizens also compared their dynamic with Tian Xiwei and Zhang Linghe’s pairing in Pursuit of Jade, while others chose to appreciate the different chemistry each drama pairing brings.
Tian Xiwei’s popularity has continued to grow following the success of Pursuit of Jade. In May 2026, she also starred in the drama Born with Luck (低智商犯罪), which received positive responses from viewers and attracted attention from many advertisers.
With the arrival of The Genius Girlfriend, Tian Xiwei continues to expand her presence in the Chinese entertainment industry through another highly anticipated project.
The Genius Girlfriend tells the story of Lin Zhixia (Tian Xiwei), a genius girl who has shown extraordinary abilities since she was young.
At the age of nine, Lin Zhixia meets Jiang Yubai (Hu Yitian), a boy who later becomes her desk mate. Unlike Lin Zhixia, who is confident and talented, Jiang Yubai struggles with various issues, including difficulty waking up, fear of going to school, and a lack of self-confidence.
Lin Zhixia’s presence gradually helps Jiang Yubai rediscover himself. When they become adults, Lin Zhixia confesses her feelings by saying, “Jiang Yubai, I like you, in the philosophical and biological sense.”
Their love story develops from their school years to university life and eventually their working years, leading them toward a happy ending together.
As of now, The Genius Girlfriend is still awaiting an official schedule announcement from iQIYI, although circulating information suggests that the drama is expected to premiere on August 5, 2026.
