LayarHijau.com – WeTV Indonesia and Unlimited Production have officially unveiled WeTV Original 12 IPA 4, a coming-of-age drama adapted from a viral Alternate Universe (AU) story that became a massive hit on TikTok. Ahead of its July 24, 2026 premiere, the series was introduced during an exclusive press screening at XXI Epicentrum in Jakarta.
Originally published as a TikTok AU, the story has generated more than 35.8 million views and 1.3 million likes, earning a devoted fan base before making the leap to the screen.

Centered on the theme of “Rejects Fighting for Recognition,” 12 IPA 4 goes beyond the typical high school romance by following students labeled as the school’s “reject class” as they fight to prove their worth.
The series stars Nayla D. Purnama, Junior Roberts, and Sandy Pradana. Nayla plays dual roles as Hanin and Hana, portraying twins whose story revolves around a dangerous identity swap. Hanin assumes her late sister’s identity to fulfill her final wish of reuniting their broken family.
Junior Roberts stars as Jarvis, the school’s popular boy with a rebellious side, while Sandy Pradana plays Joan, a mysterious musician who becomes the center of Hanin’s emotional journey. Directed by Dinna Jasanti, the eight-episode drama combines dance club rivalries, betrayal, self-discovery, romance, and mental health themes into a story aimed at young audiences.
Guests and members of the media who attended the premiere screening were quickly drawn into the series. Emotional scenes resonated throughout the theater, while lighthearted comedic moments and familiar high school mischief sparked laughter and nostalgia, reminding viewers of the friendships, unforgettable memories, and growing pains that defined their teenage years.
According to Febriamy Hutapea, Executive Producer and Country Head of WeTV Indonesia, 12 IPA 4 was created to answer viewers’ growing demand for authentic high school stories while also delivering an important message for parents.
“WeTV Original 12 IPA 4 is our answer for viewers who have been longing for high school stories that feel emotionally honest and grounded in real life. At its core, this series isn’t just about teenage romance—it’s about friendship and the courage of students from the so-called ‘reject class’ as they challenge the stigma surrounding them. More importantly, it also carries a meaningful message for parents. The story shows how parental expectations and ego can sometimes become a heavy burden that affects a child’s mental well-being. We hope this series encourages reflection and opens the door to more honest communication between parents and their children.”
Producer Oswin Bonifanz said adapting a story with such a passionate fan base came with unique challenges, particularly when it came to bringing readers’ imaginations to life on screen. As a result, casting became one of the longest and most crucial stages of production.
“This is one of the largest ensemble casts we’ve ever worked with, so it took a great deal of time to find actors who could truly embody each character the way fans imagined them. We carefully considered each actor’s real-life personality as well as their ability to bring these roles to life, so readers could see the characters they loved faithfully translated onto the screen.”
Lead actress Nayla D. Purnama also shared how much she enjoyed filming the series, saying the close bond between the cast and crew naturally strengthened everyone’s performances.
“So many memorable high school experiences found their way into this story, including things like skipping class with your friends, which became really fun to recreate on screen. The chemistry among the cast and crew developed naturally, making the set a comfortable place to work. We were all excited to bring these beloved characters to life.”
WeTV Original 12 IPA 4 premieres exclusively on WeTV on July 24, 2026, following Hanin as she struggles to overcome prejudice, heal her fractured family, and discover love while navigating the emotional highs and lows of high school life.
