IU is currently starring opposite popular actor Byun Woo-seok in the drama “Perfect Crown”, which premiered on April 10. To promote the series, IU, Byun Woo-seok, Roh Sang-hyun, and Gong Seung-yeon appeared together on the online program “Salon Drip 2”, where they shared behind-the-scenes stories that unexpectedly led to several funny and heartwarming moments.

During the episode, host Jang Do-yeon asked Gong Seung-yeon, who is the older sister of TWICE’s Jeongyeon, whether her younger sister watches her works. Gong Seung-yeon honestly replied, “Not at all.” Her candid answer immediately sent the studio into laughter.
She then added that things might be different this time. According to her, Jeongyeon will definitely watch this drama, not because of her sister, but because IU is the lead actress. She even revealed that Jeongyeon is a big fan of IU.
“She really likes IU. She has IU’s albums and keeps them very carefully, to the point where she doesn’t even let me touch them,” Gong Seung-yeon said while laughing.
The conversation then shifted to IU’s surprise appearance at a TWICE concert. Jang Do-yeon mentioned that IU attended very discreetly. IU confirmed this and casually explained that she went because she is a huge fan of TWICE.

Gong Seung-yeon also revealed that Jeongyeon originally wanted to invite IU personally, but she jokingly told her younger sister, “Are you sure she’ll see your message? She probably gets so many.”
Jang Do-yeon then added that even if IU received the invitation, she would likely still choose to buy her own ticket. IU explained her reason simply: “Because I really like TWICE.”
IU further emphasized that as a fellow singer and performer, watching other artists’ concerts is not just entertainment for her, but also a form of learning and observation. That is why she prefers to attend quietly and enjoy the entire performance from start to finish.
She also mentioned having attended performances by EXO’s D.O. and other artists as part of her way of finding inspiration and taking a break.
