LayarHijau – The period drama Dream of Golden Years recently held a special fan event and promotional gathering in Beijing on March 19. Main cast members including Zhou Ye, Zhai Xiaowen, Dong Xuan, and Wang Guanyi were present to promote their new series.
At the event, Zhou Ye drew attention with her blue-toned dress layered with a plaid vest, creating a playful retro look. Meanwhile, Zhai Xiaowen appeared neat and charismatic in a black leather jacket paired with a white shirt.

The atmosphere became lively during the game session. Zhai Xiaowen guided Zhou Ye, who admitted she isn’t good at singing, and the two performed a duet of the classic song Qing Shen Shen Yu Meng Meng, translated as “Misty Rain of Deep Emotion.” Their performance was praised by the audience for its sweetness and strong chemistry.
In another playful moment, Zhai Xiaowen lifted Zhou Ye—who was holding a red decoration symbolizing “double happiness” (a traditional sign of joy and marriage)—for a photo. The spontaneous gesture drew loud applause, with many noting his strong “boyfriend energy.”
When asked about her character Xia Xiaolan, Zhou Ye shared her thoughts directly: “She has resilience. No matter what happens, she keeps moving forward. She also has courage—the courage to do many things and make important decisions.”
The warm atmosphere continued during the talk segment. Zhai Xiaowen revealed that Dong Xuan’s daughter, nicknamed Xiao Jiuwo, almost appeared in the drama. In response, Dong Xuan said she hopes her daughter can grow up to be like Zhou Ye, prompting laughter and adding to the cheerful mood at the event.
