In a television program, Cheng Yi once stated that he was born in 1990. However, if one looks back at earlier interviews and programs, he had also previously said that he was born in 1989.
Media reports from around 14 years ago also mentioned that he was born in 1989.

However, other netizens offered a different explanation. They pointed out that if April 13 refers to the lunar calendar, it could correspond to May 17 in the Gregorian calendar.
