LayarHijau– Netflix has officially announced the premiere date for Season 2 of Bloodhounds. The streaming platform revealed on Wednesday that the new season of the live-action series adapted from a popular webtoon will debut worldwide on April 3. Along with the announcement, Netflix also released a teaser poster and the first teaser trailer, offering an early look at the story’s next chapter.

The upcoming season continues the journey of Gun-woo and Woo-jin, two young boxers whose friendship and determination helped them defeat a brutal illegal loan shark organization in the first season. This time, however, the stakes are much higher. The pair find themselves confronting a powerful underground boxing league that operates on a global scale, where money and violence dictate the rules.

When the first season premiered in 2023, the drama quickly gained international attention thanks to its intense hand-to-hand combat scenes and its story about two fighters challenging the ruthless world of illegal lending. In Season 2, the narrative expands far beyond loan sharks, introducing a much larger criminal network and raising the scale of the conflicts the protagonists must face.

The teaser trailer also hints at how the characters’ lives have changed after the events of the first season. With the illegal lenders defeated, Gun-woo begins pursuing his dream of becoming a professional boxing champion. Woo-jin remains closely involved in his journey, taking on the role of coach while continuing to train and fight alongside him.

A new key character will also enter the story. Rain joins the cast as Baek-jeong, a ruthless figure who controls an international underground boxing league. Unlike official competitions, the organization operates purely on profit and brutality, turning fights into dangerous spectacles where even seasoned champions can be destroyed without mercy.

The series is based on a webtoon with the same title. The English version of the comic can be read on WEBTOON, with artwork created by Jeong Chan.
