LayarHijau– A leaked trailer for Avengers: Doomsday has gone viral online and quickly climbed the trending charts on China’s social media platform Weibo. The hashtag 美队有孩子了 (“Captain America has a child”) entered the hot search list on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, sparking widespread discussion among Marvel fans.
The footage is believed to have been shown during screenings of Avatar 3: Fire and Ash and appears to offer a glimpse into Steve Rogers’ life after the events of Avengers: Endgame. In the trailer, Steve is seen riding a motorcycle to a quiet home before carefully placing his Captain America suit into a box. The scene then cuts to him holding a baby in his arms, a moment many viewers have interpreted as confirmation that Steve has a child.

Weibo users responded to the leak with mixed reactions. One comment that gained traction described Steve Rogers as selfish, arguing that his past decisions repeatedly led to major consequences. The user cited Captain America: Civil War, where Steve’s choice to protect Bucky Barnes resulted in the Avengers’ internal split and a chain of catastrophic failures. The comment also criticized Steve’s actions in Avengers: Endgame, claiming that despite multiple warnings to restore the Infinity Stones without altering the timeline, he chose to stay in the past with Peggy Carter, disrupting the timeline once again. According to the commenter, without Steve’s selfishness, “half of the Avengers’ story would not exist.”
That opinion quickly became a point of debate, with many fans pushing back and calling the interpretation inaccurate and overly one-sided. Others offered a different theory altogether, suggesting that when the story returns to the present, Captain America’s descendant has already grown up and resembles his predecessor, continuing his legacy.
Amid the excitement, some users urged caution, noting that the leaked trailer has not been officially verified and could have been altered. Theories circulating online remain fan speculation and should not be taken as confirmed plot details.
According to various sources, Marvel’s original plan was to debut four different versions of Avengers: Doomsday footage ahead of Avatar: Fire and Ash screenings, with each version running for one week before being replaced. This staggered release strategy was reportedly designed to build anticipation over time and encourage repeat cinema visits. The leak has disrupted that plan, even as it fuels fan enthusiasm.
The timing of the leak has only intensified interest, as fans were already eager for updates on Avengers: Doomsday. Rumors about the trailer had been circulating alongside broader discussions about the film’s release schedule, potential cast returns, and the creative direction of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Six.
The image of Steve Rogers holding a baby has struck a particularly emotional chord with fans, offering a more intimate and human look at a character long defined by sacrifice and duty. For many, it suggests a personal new chapter beyond the large-scale battles that define the franchise.
Marvel has yet to issue an official statement regarding the leaked footage. Until an official trailer is released, the authenticity and full context of the circulating video remain open to interpretation.
