LayarHijau– A video of Fan Chengcheng shouting “I want to date!” in the middle of a crowded street has gone viral on Weibo on Wednesday, November 12. In the clip, the singer-actor is seen wearing an all-black outfit with a long coat and sunglasses. Before shouting, Fan Chengcheng flashes a reluctant smile, holding a small portable speaker in his hand. After yelling the line, he quickly lowers his head in embarrassment and runs off, while people around him record the moment with their phones and cameras.
According to the Weibo user who first uploaded the video, the scene wasn’t spontaneous—it was actually part of a filming session for Keep Running (奔跑吧), the Chinese version of Running Man. “Fan Chengcheng shouted ‘I want to date!’ — it was a punishment for losing a game! Hahaha! He even had to mentally prepare himself before shouting!” the post explained.

The short clip immediately became a trending topic, with thousands of netizens commenting on Fan Chengcheng’s awkward yet funny reaction.
One Weibo user wrote, “This is hilarious! The young master looks terrified of being photographed—he must have lost badly and will probably DM people begging them to delete the video.”
Another commented jokingly, “Even if the whole world says you’ve had countless girlfriends, I’ll still stand firmly on the side of the whole world,” followed by crying emojis.
A third user teased, “When a kid says they need to go to the toilet, it usually means they already have.”
Interestingly, this viral moment comes not long after renewed rumors about Fan Chengcheng’s love life. In August 2024, a video surfaced showing him dining with friends, including a woman who appeared to be very close to him. The clip captured the woman playfully massaging Fan’s cheek while he adjusted her hair—sparking speculation that the two were dating.
Fan Chengcheng’s studio later issued a statement clarifying that the gathering was just a casual meet-up among friends, not a romantic outing. However, since neither confirmation nor denial came directly from Fan himself, the rumor continued to circulate online.
Fan Chengcheng has been a recurring cast member of Keep Running since its eighth season. Known for his playful personality and tendency to lose games, he often ends up performing funny punishments like the one seen in the viral video. His participation in the hit variety show has helped solidify his popularity among Chinese audiences.
Though the moment was simply part of a game, Fan Chengcheng’s spontaneous and unguarded reaction once again showed his humorous, down-to-earth charm—something that keeps fans endlessly entertained.
