One of the strongest examples of this strategy’s success is Love’s Ambition (许我耀眼), a drama that has recently dominated discussions across social media. Premiering on WeTV on September 26, 2025, with a total of 32 episodes, the series achieved remarkable results within just 24 hours of release. Its first four episodes quickly recorded the highest Heat Index of 2025 on Tencent Video, reaching around 27,000. Even before its debut, Love’s Ambition was among the most highly reserved titles on the platform and was trending widely online.
The drama’s popularity is fueled by the powerful pairing of Zhao Lusi and William Chan, whose performances bring to life a story of ambition, love, and the struggles of modern relationships. Their chemistry and the show’s emotionally resonant themes have turned Love’s Ambition into a major hit among Chinese drama fans.
Febriamy Hutapea, Country Head of WeTV Indonesia, expressed pride over the series’ outstanding reception. “We are very proud of the incredible response that Love’s Ambition has received in various countries, including Indonesia. This shows that viewers are seeking content that is not only engaging in its storytelling but also authentic, produced with high standards, and easily accessible for everyone,” said Febri in an official press release received by LayarHijau on Friday, October 10, 2025.
Looking ahead, WeTV believes the future of digital entertainment lies in combining high-quality global content with authentic local experiences. The platform remains committed to delivering more exclusive titles and cross-cultural projects that will continue to enrich the viewing experience for audiences across Indonesia.
For those curious, Love’s Ambition airs daily at 5 p.m. (WIB). Viewers can also purchase the express package to watch the entire series in advance, exclusively on WeTV.
