Gan Wei shared a long and emotional message: “Heartbroken!!! Last year, we promised on WeChat to meet more often. I never thought that would be our last exchange. I’ll never forget the first time we met—you were in a pure white T-shirt, so quiet and elegant. May there be no pain in heaven, rest in peace!”
Actress Sun Qian also wrote with sorrow: “Brother Menglong! You were so gentle, shy, and kind. Why?! I was heartbroken all afternoon. I didn’t dare to send you a WeChat message, afraid that the lack of reply would confirm the worst. So many friends were waiting for you to deny the rumors… Rest in peace, Menglong.”
Shao Bing remembered their time training together: “We ate hot pot, practiced dance, encouraged each other, sweated together, stayed up late together. May you be reborn in paradise. Life is so impermanent, my heart is broken!”
Condolences also came from fellow Super Boy 2013 contestants Ning Huanyu and Zhang Yangyang. Zhang wrote, “Since Super Boy 2013, I called you uncle and you called me nephew. For 12 years we kept it that way. From now on, no one will call me dear nephew anymore.”
Other heartfelt tributes came from Gao Taiyu, Zheng Fanxing, Dai Si, Ai Fejieni, Wang Qiang, Liu Ruilin, Song Yanfei, Zhang Yunlong, Ding Zeren, Zhao Yingzi, Huang Mengying, Xing Fei, Chen Yuqi, Zhang Kaili, Liu Haoyu, Zhu Xudan, Fu Longfei, Li Wenhan, Zuo Li, Bai Jugang, Sun Yi, Hu Xia, Michelle Chen, Hai Lu, Duan Aojuan, Lai Yi, Dilraba Dilmurat, Jiang Mengjie, Zhang Tianai, Zhang Binbin, Yu Tian, Xu Mengjie, Wang Tianchen, Hua Chenyu, Mark Chao, Mao Xiaotong, Zhang Youhao, Gao Weiguang, and Jiang Yiyi.
